Hello to everyone! I signed on yesterday but havent posted yet. My name is Simone, I'm from Toronto Canada. I'm really excited about joining this group. I really feel that this is my year to finally do something about my weight. I've accepted that I have a problem, I need to work on it and make myself, and my health my #1 priority.

I'm 34, weigh 325lbs and I need to change that. I have some health issues that are really preventing me from enjoying my life and I know losing weight will change that for the better.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here and offering my support to everyone.

Simone - Welcome to 3FC! This is a great place for support. Please feel free to jump right into the numbered threads. I spent a few years living in Toronto. Cool city! In fact, I gained a bunch of weight when I left because I walked so much when I was there. Losing weight and getting fit do make things so much better. I still have a long way to go, but I feel so different from when I started.

As Nancy said, there's a lot of support here and we're happy to have you join us. You'll see a bunch of numbered threads "300+ and ready to try...again" This is where most of the chatter around here takes place. It can be a little intimidating at first, as we keep about 400 conversations in the air at once, but really feel free to jump in. We don't bite, and we support each other through everything!

There are a few threads stickied to the top you might want to look at, including the "newbies" info, some great links for getting started, and a place for introducing yourself if you're interested. Check them out!!!!

Also, if you're interested in starting exercise, there's an exercise thread stickied at the top of the page. We try to set goals of MINUTES of exercise per month (the exercise is up to you). Then we post our exercise and also track the group minutes. Last year we got close to 200,000 minutes of exercise and I hope we go over this year!!!

Hi Simone, and :wel3fc: I am glad you found us and I just know you will love it here. Everybody is so friendly and supportive. You have made the decision to lose weight, that's hurdle one out of the way. Now you have to take it one day at a time, set yourself small goals along the way and don't focus on the end goal, sometimes that can be too daunting. :goodluck:
