Thanks for the welcome!
I look forward to participating on the board. I spent a lot of time today reading a lot of threads in all the sections...you know, getting myself revved up for the journey ahead
I have dieted a lot in the past, but nothing ever stuck. I think now I am finally ready to take the big dive and finally stick to something healthy and good for me.
Lilion- Thanks for letting me know about the bio thing! I will definitely do it! Also, I will take part in the chats, they sound really fun
thinthinker- I have been doing so much reading the past couple days, my boyfriend is starting to worry about me being totally glued to the computer reading quietly! LOL There is so much great information on here, it would take years to read it all I bet!
Xena2005 - Yeah, I like the "backward math" lol...at least that is what my statistics professor called it, hehehe. I am trying to get a job now in some office position, but no one will hire me. I have enough experience to be useful, but not enough where someone will PAY me to be useful! hehe
sandybar - This is one of my favorite avatars as well

It was a toss up between this one or a Pillsbury Doughboy avatar that says "Poke me and die!"
wyllenn - Thanks a lot for the advice

I have been taking evening walks with my boyfriend for the past few nights for about 2 miles. I haven't really done a lot about my eating habits yet, but I am trying to ease myself in. I figure anything is better than what I was doing, even if it is just being more active. For me, the exercising is much more difficult to stick with than eating right. So if I can get in the habit of being active and stick to it, than the eating can come in a couple weeks. The only problem with the healthy eating is that I live on a very tight student budget, and buying all the tasty healthy food is hard. I am pretty much limited to the produce selection at Aldi, lol..(which is teeny at best) so that food can get boring after a while. I will figure out something though

thanks so much for the encouragement!
