Okay, I officially suck. You know it's pretty bad when I can't even motivate myself to make a posting for days, but I make sure that the daily thread is here and keep up with the people who are posting. And now that I review things, I realize that it's been almost 5 days since I posted something substantial. Alright. Time to put in a little effort.

First, to all of our new members. I'm sure you'll find this gang as wonderful as I do. Only been here for a couple months and I already feel like one of the regular gang. Even if I'm the only rooster in this hen house.

Been kinda busy, though I think that my co-worker who's been out for the past couple of weeks is finally back in the office this week. No one seems to know for sure, which is really frustrating, but last I talked to him (this past Tuesday) he told me to expect him back on Monday. That being said, I'm sure he'll take off if he's got more house-related stuff to do. (I did mention he just bought a house and wants to get a bunch of work done before he has to move his stuff out of his apartment, right? Good plan -- that's the way the DW and I did things 5 years ago.) Anyhoo...hopefully that'll help with ye olde work stress this week.

Wednesday night was my normal hookup with a good friend. I've known her for over 10 years now, though we've only recently begun to really recognize the friendship that we share. Meeting her for coffee is one of the highlights of my week and I have become quite accustomed to having that activity as part of the routine. Of course, is it the activity or the company? Who knows. Who cares. All I know is that good friends are hard to come by, so make sure you all treasure yours and make the time for them.

Thursday - back into the basement. Most of the "main room" has now been drywalled, though I have a few more screws to drive in on a couple of the sheets. 2 or 3 small pieces are also missing - but we'll fill those in when we get some scrap pieces from further works. Between now and this coming Thursday, I'd like to get a start on the crack filling....but I've never done it before and that stresses me out. I'm gonna see if I can't get one of the guys from work to spend an hour or so with me to go over the basics. After the crack filling comes the painting -- and that I can handle (even though I hate painting).

Friday was another good social day. DW and I joined 2 other couples (including my Wednesday Coffee Friend & her DH and a Husband-Wife pair from work) for wine & desert. Friend #2 and I had always wanted to try this particular resteraunt's "wine sampler" of "stickies". This is 5 small (like 1.5 fl oz each) glasses of sweet dessert wines - ice wine, sherry, port, etc. It was divine and would most certainly do it again. However, this was the first time I'd ever spent $60 on Wine & Desert for 2. As I told the DW that night - we don't socialize all that often, so it's all good. And the time spent with everyone was wonderful. We all agreed we needed to do this more often, just at a cheaper venue.

Yesterday, I spent the day with a bunch of the guys from work for an afternoon of board games. Given the fact that most of us from work are "Geeks" (I mean, we work in IT. What did you expect. ) so we're not much of the 'sit around the TV watching sports, drinking beers and eating wings/chips' type people. So we've traded it for a once-a-month 'sit around the table playing board games, drinking beers and eating wings/chips'. And we're not talking about Monopoly or Scrabble or stuff like that. No no. We're talking about Risk, Axis and Allies, Talisman, Zombies or stuff like that. We typically take up an entire afternoon with our games -- we were going still strong at 4:30 (after starting at 11:30) when the game abruptly ended thanks to a couple dice rolls. It was a great afternoon.

Today, I'm probably going to finish screwing the drywall this afternoon after church. If the weather holds up, I might even head outside for a walk with the DW. I'm not sure if we're going to brave the malls, but we really do have to start out shopping soon. Nope. Haven't made any significant strides on that topic. Sad, really, but I just cannot get into the Christmas mood and refuse to put up any decorations until DECEMBER 1ST. It's bad enough when you get the "6 months until Christmas" flyers in the middle of the summer. I'm not going to encourage those retail bozos any further.

So, my mood is slightly better today but that'll probably change in a couple hours. We'll just have to see if it's a positive change or a negative one.

Anyhow, I've written enough to put you all to sleep. Now wake up and get some exercise peoples. Stay strong & stay on program.

OH YEAH! I guess that I'm kinda taking Darcy's () advice and am going to start writing. I hope to (re)launch my blog this Friday. If I miss the Dec 1 launch date, then it won't be until the new year. It'll be at http://rxzephyr.blogspot.com when it's ready and open to the public. (It's invite only while I get it all spiffy.) And depending on how that goes, I have an idea for a piece of fiction that I'm mulling on. If I could just fabricate the time, I might work on that too.

So many ideas, too little time.

Hi All!

RX, Looking forward to another blog to read! I really should write in one, but I have too much other stuff to keep up with! You need to post a pic of you and DW.

Stevi, Glad to see you...instead of wondering if you're lying in a ditch somewhere. Wow, that's the kind of stuff mom used to tell me if I didn't check in!

We put our tree up yesterday, lights on. Have to go get the decorations from the basement today. This is probably the earliest I've ever gotten it up! It's only up because DH bought Peter a Thomas set that goes under the tree and he was tormenting us to put it up! I finally had to take the trains away last night and told him they're only coming out for a little while each day, when I say so, because the boys were taking them off the tracks, then messing with them.

I'm hoping for an interview this week...please think good thoughts!! Did I mention I bought 3 new suits at JC Penny last week? Got an awesome deal...2 were originally 190/ea., one was 215. Got all 3 for 247.!!

Have a great day all!

So who's all unemployed?? Good timing for the jack arse who did it...(((Big Hugs))) I'm actually home ALL ALONE...its weird. I dunno what I'm gonna do. Yeah I do, the laundry.Oooo wee, fun stuff. DH is mad at me, don't care though. He is such a lazy ARSE at home. He'll work 70 hour weeks but can't seem to get a darn thing done around here that I ask. He might as well just flip me the bird, tell me to do it myself and save me some time. My DS#1 computer was on the fritz (we lost power and it lost its ISP connection) I asked him for 9 days to fix it, he's the techy one, I'll just sit there and cuss at it. I had to do it myself today. That computer is the one that I download music on. It has to be working. He mde the lame excuss that my son would have been upset with him fiddling with his stuff....Oh ok...thats why DS#1 ASKED you to help him!!!! I called BS and now the sloth is mad at me. Bite it Bukko. That stuff annoys me to NO end!! He can LITERALLY lay around ALL weekend eating burping and farting. Oooo baby, give me some of that. yuk.

Sorry to vent, I'm seriously annoyed.

stevi, i used to have that problem....it stopped for a bit when i went to work. things were hunky dory til we moved out here.

now, i do it ALL. otherwise it doens't get done.....and i'm a grouch for it. and he whines because I nag him when he's home. apparently I'm just hotel, room service, housekeeping, laundry, food, seamstress, chauffer when he's drunk, and caretaker all in one. not to mention my "wifely" duties if he's not watching porn.

Oh yeah, plus a major nag. when I had to fix the fan on the desktop last month, hubby tells me (on IM overseas mind you) that "you know more about the computer than I do now..." meaning that i can fix it now instead of him. Even halfway around the dang world and he's STILL lazy.

This is on top of a full time job. A job i totally hate. And what does he say? "Well it's good money!" whoopdee doo

He has sent me 3 emails in 2 months. some days i feel so loved. when he's not working he's at his laptop he's probably working on a stupid project for his beloved USAF squadron HERE AT HOME. He promised a phone call on thanksgiving, and ya know, I didn't get one phone call from him OR ANY OF HIS FAMILY. They all have this phone number and they all knew I was here without him. Not a single phone call. I got a call from my girlfriend and my dance teacher.

ok i'll quit grouching, I gotta get ready to get outta here and go dance. I'll be back later on...

Tanx Holy. I know I'm not the only one that suffers this stupidity. His whole attitude is "if she doesn't say anything, I don't EVER have to get anything done.' then I say it and I'm a Nagging jerk? Grow UP! He's suckin' up now, he's called 2x in ten minutes. He KNOWS I'm pissed and that he's wrong...again. His physical incapacity is such a turn off. He used to be so energetic and F..I..N..E. I can't mention that either, he'll pout for a fricken week.
I got back to walking this morning. I have been on hiatus for 7 weeks!!Egads! Ever since my back episode. Check this out....I went from 4 miles in 56 min (record was 52 min) going a steady 4.0 mph with interval running @ 5.0 to ( I am SOOO ashamed) struggling to maintain a 1.5 mph pace and 1.5 miles. what a PUSS! You don't use it, you lose it. I should be back there in the next 5 weeks if I get out there at least 5x a week. I plan on it. I hate feeeling so lame. AAARRrRrRGGgggG!

Oh here's the Evil Queen.......

Close up of the Witch in the mirror.

My goal was to incorporate both of the Queens "personalities" in my style of course...

Any suggestions on who to do next? (Villians only please, Princesses and side kicks are a ways down the road)
