Another Newbie
Hi. I would love to join in for support, motivation, encouragement and a swift kick every now and then with women my age having some of the same obstacles! This looks like a friendly group.
I'm a sahm of 11, 7 and 16mo olds. I home school so that takes up a lot of time on top of all the other "mom" duties. I've been doing TAEBO for the last three weeks. I'm seeing results so I know it's working - not fast enough of course - but working. Why does it go on so much faster than it comes off? And why does it seem so much harder the older we get? I'll be 39 in March...or as my son says...one step closer to 40. They think they're so funny don't they?!
What do you all do for exercise?
I'm not following any specific "diet". I'm just trying to make eating (life) changes I can deal with...cutting back, watching portions, modifying. Quite frankly life is not lived without pizza and chocolate, so if I want them I have them, and modify. Instead of 4 pieces I have two and instead of half a pan of brownies I have a piece and cover the rest up. It seems to be working.
The last time I weighed (three weeks ago) I was at 197. I threw the scale in the trash so I have no idea what it is now. I do know that I can get my own jeans on now though. I was wearing DH's (how bad is that?!?!) because I couldn't even dream of getting mine together and I refused to by bigger ones. Now they not only go together, they zip and I can actually breathe. I noticed yesterday that my hip and butt areas were even bagging a little so that was a wonderful treat. The waist is a little more stubborn though. After two c-sections I'm wondering if those muscles will ever be the same. Oh well. I know it can be a lot better than it is!
Geesh, I've rattled on eh? Anyway, I'd love to join in and have the accountability. It seems to be easier some how when you know others are suffering with you! LOL
Oh, forgot to say....Starting weight after last pregnancy 228...current weight ??? probably somewhere around 190...Goal weight 150.
