Lauren, God I give you alot of credit. As a nurse we are always willing to help people but I don't want to ever have to go thru what you are doing in my neighborhood. I would do what I have to do but I can't believe you are living such a nightmare like this. What are they doing about school down there since all the schools are used as shelters?? Hopefully all will get better soon.

Just venting : :devil: :devil: My sister just had gastric bypass surgery. I have to admit I am soooo jealous. Its been 2 1/5 weeks and already she has lost 22lbs. WOW! I am not a candidate for the surgery but I probably could get a doctor to write that I am. But I just wouldn't do it, just not my thing!! But it does make me feel very jealous. My sister and I were always heavy where as my older sister was and is thin. It was of some comfort not to be the only "heavy" child. Now its going to be just me on the "heavy" side and I am just not liking that. I am proud of her but can't help how I feel also!! :dizzy:

ergirl, it is best to lose weight one day at a time, focusing each day on what you eat and how you exersize. It is not fun and it is not glamorous, but that is pretty much the only way to go, I think. It is tough being the only one that is on the heavy side, I agree. But you can make it so that you're not.
Just a side note, it isn't Lauren down in LA. She is in New Jersey. It is RoadRunner that is down there dealing with everything. (Don't worry it takes a while to get to know everyone.)

RR, how is it going? I hope since the relief people are there and the National Guard has shown up, it is starting to look a little bit better. Maybe?
