Hi, all! I posted a month or so ago, but I have been very busy vacationing and visiting family in SC. ( I live in PA)

I went to the beach and also spent days looking at all of the photos when I thought I was fat at 140...oh, the teen years! To have them back. I had big hair but everything else looked pretty small! LOL! Anyway, I brought back pics from college that will inspire me to loose even more....

I have my neice here from SC and she looks just like me...kind of scary...

Welcome Back!

And nice to meet you!

I hear ya on the whole "and I thought I was fat then" deal.

I was only about 15 lbs overweight at 19 but I needed major toning - so naturally I thougth I was more like 25 lbs over. Ironically I could wear a bikini and did so for 2 weeks in Hawaii.

I look at those pics and think - dang - if only I looked like that now! A tiny bit of flab at the thys and belly - big deal - I couldnt even get that bikini on now and I still have it!

That is my goal!! Well one of them anyways.

HI everyone
long time no hear from me. YAY AND APPLAUSE to everyone who has kept at their goals, and had losses - either one, and especially both, are worthy of a big clap!! And specially appalause to you Tiffy, you are going so well at such a hard time (hugs).
I should really put my ticker back up b/c my scales are saying really nasty things today :(. I had a bad allergic reaction while I was running on the weekend and ended up in hospital with 1.5 litres of saline/adrenaline/antihistamine so I am hoping it's just fluid retention.
Best wishes to all

Hey ya'll, I am on vacation and I don't know what to do with myself. Tommorrow I am heading out to Cleveland to visit some friends, and all that I have to do to get ready is done, I just have to pack some of the basic bathroom stuff that I will be using tommorrow.

I hope everyone has a good week and congratulations to everyone that has lost weight.

Hi All,

Having a pretty stressful couple days here at work. SSDD. Hope to find something different soon.

DH & I weighed in last night before dinner. It wasn't pretty. I weigh more now than I did when I gave birth to Robby! :o So we're trying really hard now. Well, we're trying to get menu planning down pat, then we'll concentrate on the healthy aspect of it. We're on our second week of a planned menu. We did good last week, this week is going to **** in a handbasket because I made the menu with the intention of going shopping, and never made it to the store!:dizzy: So last night instead of grilled chicken, mixed veggies and rice, we had sauteed chicken, mixed veggies and couscous.

Gotta run, will respond later...

Hi Everyone! I did not post last week after my weigh in because I was so p-ohed at myself for gaining 2.5 lbs. I was trying to cheat the diet, and it did not work out. I knew I shouldn't be doing what I was doing, so there you go. On the upside, however, my BMI is down again, and I lost another 3 inches in the past two weeks (1 inch from chest, hips and thighs). So in the end a major cause to celebrate! I have been good this week, so I hope to see on the scale when I weigh in on Thursday!

Good Tuesday all!

Good Morning Ladies!

Well - it is another glorious day here on the farm. Had a nice panic attack last night since I left the gate undone and the horse got out. then they headed for the lower pasture which is ok since fenced but bad since DH left that gate open to free range next to us. So I was racing through the house down the back hill to the gate to beat the horse that were thankfully busy grazing and was able to lock that gate to freedom!

Then I had to move them this am to the big pasture and missed a medical call for the Vol FD since my responsibilitie at home come first.:(

Such is life. Oh well - good luck to all that are trying something new and congrats to those with little successes.

:D

I'm back...had a couple meetings to attend.

PJ, what kind of horses do you have? There was a Hackney farm down the road from where I grew up and I used to go there almost everyday to see the horses. I knew all their names! The owner actually was gonna let me watch a foal (sp) be born, but she ended up being born overnight.

ChocLL, Sorry about the gain, but hey, that's great that you lost inches!!

Lisa, glad you're having a nice, boring vacation! You should be after all the work you've done in school!

LB, glad to have you back! How scary about the reaction! Do you know what it was to?

RR, Have fun at the Wiggles!!

Amy, Welcome back! I know what you mean. I've always been overweight, but at my HS graduation I was in a size 18 and probably weighed about 190lb...oh what I would do to be there now!!

TLB, glad you had a nice trip!

Horseys

The Mare is a Quarter Horse - very sweet, mellow about 20 years old - great for beginners to ride -she aint a mover.;)

The gelding is a half quarter half morgan - more spirited but can be a real sweety when he wants - that is DH horse - ok to ride but a bit stubborn on going where you want to.:p

LBH 08-02-2005 02:07 PM

Good Morning!

OK, I'm trying again. If I loose it this time, I'm gonna be really mad at myself! I learned an interesting thing about interest the other day. I have some student loans through Sallie Mae. I was checking on payoff and decided to check how much I owed on each one. Well, I had one that I owed $213 on. They had that amount spread out over 7 months and paying $1200! Can you say OMG!! I paid that sucker off and now my loan payment has gone from over $200 to just under $60! Wow. And the REALLY sad thing is that back in April I paid $1500 spread out over the three loans. I could have paid that darn thing off back in April and been paying more on the other two! :Beats head against wall:

Amy: Welcome back from vacation. I'm glad you had a good time. I so hear you on wishing I was at my high school size! Even tho I was overweight then, I'm more so now!

Lisa: Have fun on vacation!

LB: Oh my goodness. I hope you are feeling better now. What did you have a reaction to? (If that's not too nosy!)

Lauren: Sorry to hear that things aren't going well at work. I hope you find something soon. I hear you on planning meals. I hate to plan meals. I make DH help me with it. Then I do the shopping and cooking.

Chocolate: I'll cross my fingers for you for a loss this week.

AJ: Cool on the horses. I had a Shetland pony growing up. My dad was a city boy who moved to the country and thought that it made him a country boy. We knew nothing about horses. Now that I watch Animal Planet I know that that poor horse did not get very good care. He never got hoof care or his teeth filed. My folks sold him after I graduated from high school. I hope he had a better home then!

RR: Cool on The Wiggles! I hope they continue to put on a good show when they are here! Alex dances around and sings with them. Hopefully he will enjoy the show.

OK, hope everyone is having a great day!

It's Wednesday!

Good Morning All!! Hoper everyone got a good nights sleep and is raring to go with a brand new fresh start (everyday is a clean slate - so put yesterday behind you.)

Karen-Yes, horses require a lot of care. These 2 needed hoof work when we bought them which we have taken care of, and they could probably use some teeth work but for now it isnt too bad and I have to save some sheckles - horses arent cheap - I spend more on them than my truck for maintenance.

LBTEBA-Boy can I relate to the allergic thing - had a reaction myself a few years back that sent me to the ER. Still not 100% sure what caused it and it could have been a combo of things. But it did fine tune my senses to be more aware of a reaction coming on so I can take an antihistimine before it goes full blown. Hopefully whatever you got into, breathed, touched, etc - you now have a small amt of immunity to and next time (hope there wont be) but if there is a next time the reaction wont be as severe.

To all the rest of you lovely ladies - remember>
If you focus on the obstacles you will lose sight of the goal:dizzy:

Or keep your eyes on the road ahead lest you end up in a ditch:p

Go ahead - say it - PJ you are a dork! - there I said it first now you can all agree!
