one question
LBH - since I like to know what other people eat to help give me ideas I just had a question for you - when you say you have a shake for breakfast, what kind of shake is it?

Elisa- It's called MediFast Take Shape. It was prescribed by a doctor for my mom, but she has since changed to a different one, but I like these, and they're convenient for me. I've tried the SlimFast ones, but I don't particularly like them. These are mixed with 8 oz. water (I use 12 oz., otherwise they're too sweet.)

LBH - thanks I'll look for them - is this in the health food store. I've tried Slimfast too and I don't really like it but I would love to find a convenient shake to have at work sometimes for breakfast when I'm in a hurray.

I ordered them online. Will see if I can find the order form and let you know who I ordered them from. Used to be able to get them in the supermarket, but they're hard to find now. Sometimes in the bigger drug stores too. There is a website, but I don't think it was just plain medifast.com.
Here, I just looked it up: http://www.medifast.net/store/ This is where I bought it. I bought 3 cases at the time. There are different kinds. Please be advised that my mother had all sorts of blood tests, a 3 hr. glucose tolerance test, etc. done by a doctor that specializes in weight issues. She was prescribed these shakes because of the results of her tests. He said that it would be OK for me to drink them also, because my body works pretty much the same way hers does, judging by what she told him. That's my disclaimer. |
