Lauren: I used to be very regular. Now I don't know what the heck I am. First one was 1/2 day early. Second one was 1 day early. Now this one is 2 days early. I also don't know how or what to chart. I tried checking out fertility.com but there was so much info it was overwhelming and I felt like I was going back on my word not to go too crazy with the whole thing. I'm just a weepy slug today. I gotta get over this. Sigh.

Karen, I understand your frustration. We've been trying for 10 months now with no luck. I've charted using cyclespage.com and also used the Ovu sticks. No such luck. I have an appointment with the ob/gyn in November (it freaking takes 5 months to get an appt!) and will start trying to figure out what's wrong at that point.
By the way ladies, a good article just came out about obesity and kids. It's scary to think they're going to have more obesity problems then us!!!

hello everyone.

I've had a great day. I have been wanting chocolate cake for a few days but decided I could wait and have it on my birthday. So tonight's dinner is salad and chocolate cake! :D Some friends took me out for lunch today and I planned out my meal there also: salad and brownie! Perfect meals! (for today anyway!)

Karen - your soup sounds good. I am planning to make minestrone tomorrow. I love soup.

Lauren - computer is working fine now, thanks. I found it very frustrating yesterday when I was trying to get work done and couldn't.

Karen & DG - Go to www.fertilityfriend.com You can sign up for free charting. It's pretty easy to navigate, all you have to do is enter your temp each day. It helps if you can check your cervical position and fluid too, but I was never good at that...don't think I ever found my cervix! (My MW did say that it was really far back though). I would say the most important part of temping is making sure you do it at the same time everyday. They offer free charting, but you can also get a paid subscription that has more features/help.

Rabbit, Glad you had an awesome birthday!! :hb:

I got myself all aggravated last night...went shoe shopping to this new store that was supposed to be soo awesome and have a huge range of sizes. MIL insisted I had to go there because she was able to get FIL a pair of NB sneakers in EEE. So a couple girls I work with were going there and I went with. Mind you, my feet were 11W before I had Peter, now they're 12W!! So I get there and it takes about 2 minutes for me to get frustrated and start looking for an employee. The guy says they go up to 10, a few 11's here and there...in a very degrading tone. So I headed to the men's section to look for sneakers...no NB sneakers at all!! So I said goodbye to the girls and left. Went to Marty's across the street, because I know they have 11-12 and W/WW widths. Actually tried on a pair of 2" heels that were really comfy, think they were Naturalizers. I was tempted, but they only had Navy in my size and I needed black....besides, there's a difference between walking around the store in them for 2 minutes and dealing with them all day! And I certainly didn't need an extra 2", I'm 5'10" already!! I left aggravated and went to Target, just to spend money on something!! No luck, couldn't even find a shirt to buy! I ended up stopping at CVS on the way home to p/u a few RXs for the 3 of us, and a bag of chocolate! ...I'm pathetic!!

Have a great day all!

Hi guys,

It's a beautiful day here today. We had our MOMS workout. Only four out of eight showed up (three had sick kids and one had to go out of town) and one of the four had to leave 'cause of a tantruming child. We did a twenty minute aerobic workout and a fifteen minute abdominal workout. My only problem was that Alex was sitting on my head, chest and stomach during part of it. I think I should get extra credit for the added wt. It was supposed to be 1/2 the moms watching the kids and the other half working out but it didn't work that way with only three moms. Anyhow, after the workout and lunch Alex and I walked to the library to pick up some books I had on hold. It's about a mile or so. We had a nice walk. I've gotten in about 1/2 the water (I'm on my way to get more right now!) and I've had about 1/3 of the points I'm allowed today. I'm going to follow the old WW 'cause that's the info I have. I did well on it before so I should be able to again. I think I need to shoot for more points for breakfast/lunch. I've always been a supper hoarder tho. That's when I want to eat most of my points and that's not good. We have a wedding tomorrow so I should save some points for that. The reception is at a WONDERFUL Portuguese restaurant so I'm not sure I will be able to stay in the points. I'll try tho.

Lauren: Yeah, that's the site I went to. I even signed up and then never went back so I lost my free month of extra stuff. Guess I could sign up again with my other email acct. I'm just bummed. Not as bad as yesterday tho. Have you tried The Avenue for shoes? I know they have larger sizes. I'm not sure that they have 12's but you could check. We have to run out later and there's one close to where we are going. Maybe I could run in and check for you. I just did a quick Google and the shoe I looked at they have up to a 13W. They have a WW section also. The prices I saw were $35-45. I don't know how that compares. The shoes are Cloud Walkers. Some of them are pretty cute.

DG: Oh Geeze, 10 months. I'm only trying for a year. I'll be 40 then and I don't want to be just getting preggers at 40. Ugh.

Hey, can I still come here after I turn 40?

Hello to everyone!!

LBH 10-01-2004 03:32 PM

Karen, I have a pair of sandals from Avenue, they're 12W, pretty comfy, but I was having arch trouble and had to start wearing my sneakers. Good for you doing all that exercise...with Alex! And yes, we'll still allow you here after you turn 40...just ask Rabbit! :D

My dh and friends are taking me out tonight to a fondue restaurant to celebrate my bday. Should be fun. But I don't know that it is possible to have a HEALTHY fondue dinner!

Lauren - yuck, sorry about the lousy shopping experience!

Karen - hooray for the exercise. ~Yes, they still let you hang around after 40! I turned 43 yesterday. :D

Thanks for the website Lauren. I'll give it a try.
Ladies, I know all about the big feet. I wear size 11 or 12. They used to call me ski's when I was growing up. I always shop at Payless or this place called DJ's shoe outlet here in Phoenix.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi All,

RR, Excellent that you get to cut your hours, plus cut the commute! I will miss being able to come home for lunch once we move. I could still do it if I had to, but not all the time like now. at your mom. Cool on the great deals at TRU!

DG, are you tall? Dutch? My DH calls them my "big dutch flippers". I'm tall as well as Dutch.

Today we're going to WalMart to get Peter a toddler bed! I hope it works out, because I really don't want to go in and find him practicing his ballerina moves (trying to climb out) on his crib anymore!

Have a great day all!
