Hi All,

RR, {{{Big Hugs}}} for you. I'm sorry to hear you're miscarrying, I hope you have no complications. You've got a precious little girl there. You know we're always here for you!! :grouphug:

Karen, Did the ped. have any other suggestions, besides nursing more? What is a typical day for Alex, food/nursing wise? He certainly doesn't look like he's starving!! Glad he likes that truck! I remember how much Peter loved to drive things around before he was walking, and I thought he'd love that! Of course, once he starts walking, all the trucks will start collecting dust, until he's interested again!!

Lori, I posted the pics over here for you, and forgot to mention how cute they are!! :D

Have a great day all!

Vicki - I'm so sorry to hear that you are miscarrying. You will be in my prayers.

RR- Although I'm new here and don't know all the ladies too well, I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I know it must be very hard to go through but like Rabbitt said you will be in my prayers too!!

LBH- Thank you for posting the pics!!

All- Thanks for all the comments about my two little ones
Reina will be 3 in August and Devin is 15 months.

My DH is returning home tomorrow, so let's hope I can keep up my healthy eating habits and exercise while he is home. I am easily influenced by his bad habits.

Vicky: I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sending healing thoughts your way.

JackBlack 04-28-2004 05:32 PM

Hi all............just checking in to say Hi to everyone. Not much going on here. I have been on a binge of eating lots of watermelon, of course that's probably the only thing I am eating that's healthy.

Well I gotta run and get dinner on the table

RR: I am sending lots of hugs and prayers your way. Hope things are going okay.

KarenK 04-28-2004 05:50 PM

Hi guys,

Hope everyone has had a good day.

RR: Sending thoughts and prayers your way. I hope you are ok.

We have been busy around here. I finally got Alex a savings account going. It only took two trips to the credit union. When will I remember that I have to bring proof of his existence? Showing them the child is not proof enough. :)

It was a beautiful day here but a tad nippy.

Good evening all...
Jackie--Hope things are ok with your mom...How is she doing??

I am doing ok...just keeping busy and working....
Thanks for the well wishes..

RR: Good to see ya!!!! Sorry about not updating everyone on my Mom.

Anyways, she seems to be doing a little bit better. They did see some blood in her stomach and esoph (can't spell this word, so forgive me), however, they cannot see where it came from to fix. They are going to make it a routine to check her blood more often to check for low iron so they can maybe prevent her from needing 2 pints of blood at the same time. Other than being real weak and tired, she is doing okay. She really scared me this time because I thought she was not going to make it.

By the way, she is still in the hospital, and kidney specialist thinks her kidneys are okay, just that she needs to drink more water. This is something she has a hard time with so I hope she will really try to drink more fluids.

Thanks for everyone's prayers. She sure has a lot of them going up from around the world.

Okay guys, I really feel like crying right now. I just talked to my Dad and my Mom is not doing so good today. I had begun to feel better about her but right now, I'm just not sure what to feel. She was shivering under the covers and shaking. The Dr came in to see her and says he thinks she now has an infection and ordered some blood work this evening to be done. She is also very confused like she was on Sunday. It is just so heartbreaking.

I apologize for talking about her so much. I just want her to get better.

RoadRunner 04-29-2004 07:10 AM

Jackie--Dont apologize for talking about your mom...we are friends to support in weight loss and anything else!!!

Lori--Stay strong when hubby gets home...Those men, make it soo hard to diet!!!!  They are evil!!!

Well.off to wake up Ms Priss to go to school!!! She is soo fussy when U wake her!!!

Hi All,

Jackie, I still have your mom in prayers. I'm sorry she's doing worse again. :grouphug:

RR, Hope things are going OK for you too...I'm praying!

Karen, We still haven't opened a savings account for Peter!! We've been talking about it for months! Enjoy the day, it's supposed to be beautiful today!!

KarenK 04-29-2004 09:02 AM

Good Morning All!!

OK, I'm not sure if this getting on a schedule was a good thing. Now that I have him at least trying to go to sleep by 8 pm, he is getting up at 7 or 7:30. Mom could use another hour or so of sleep. YAWN! I guess I should start trying to go to bed earlier.

Jackie: No need to apologize. We are here to support you in whatever you need!! I sure hope she is feeling better soon. I am an occupational therapist (well, used to be :) ) and I know how an infection can effect some of the older people. Whenever we were working with someone and they all of a sudden got confused or disoriented or just weren't acting right, the doc's always checked for a urinary tract infection. I'd say 80% of the time that was the cause. I'm sure Vicky has seen the same things. Sending get well vibes to your mom.

RR: Hope you are well. I try not to wake the boy. He turns into a BEAR. I had to wake him the other day 'cause he had been sleeping from 3:30 to almost 6. I knew I wouldn't be able to get him to bed. Whew. I should have just left him alone.

Lauren: Yippee!! I hope it's nice and warm. I'm rushing the season a bit. I have us both dressed in shorts. I may call and see if I can find anyone to go to the park. I think that would be fun.

OK, gotta go rescue the boy. Have a great day all!!

alsbttrfly 04-29-2004 09:51 AM

JackBlack, Why is it taking the Drs so long to find out what's wrong!! I know it must be so frustrating for your family and also very hard on you. You and your family are in my prayers!!

Dh is home and I'm trying to change his diet and encourage him to exercise. He has high blood pressure and cholesterol and he smokes. Not a good combination. He's been traveling quite a bit with his job. He got home mid feb from iraq and left end of march to Korea. He got home on Saturday and had to leave Sunday for Grafenwoehr which is about 3 hours away. He got home yesterday around noon and I hope he's home for a while now. Needless to say its been very tough on my daughter. She's been acting out lately and not listening. I don't know if its the terrible twos finally kicking in or if it has a lot to do with her dad's comings and goings. Probably the latter. She's always been a really good kid and does what I tell her. Oh well, we'll see how she does.

Well, I have to finish cleaning and get dinner started.

KarenK 04-30-2004 09:34 AM

Good morning!!

Hope everyone is having a great day. Alex slept in his crib for *3* hours last night!! I was shocked. He's hasn't done that in such a long time. It was wonderful. I was actually able to stretch out in bed for awhile. Bliss!

Jack: How's your mom? I hope she is doing better.

Lori: Is your husband in the military? Sorry if you've told us this already. I just noticed (DUH!) that you are in Germany. ***I'll just go read your biography!!***

Hello to everyone else. We are having another beautiful day here. I may have to hit the park again. Alex had a good time there yesterday. I put sunscreen on his head because he wouldn't leave his hat on...he looked so funny. His head was white. It wouldn't rub in. Oh well, at least he didn't burn!! :D.

LBH 04-30-2004 12:11 PM

Hi All,

LOL Karen!! They make a baby spray on sunblock for their heads, we had some for Peter last year. Yeah on sleeping in the crib for 3 hrs.!!! YOu know, I don't know why I was thinking about this last night, but it occured to me that I wanted to see your laundry chute while at your house, and I totally forgot!! Where is it?!

Lori, Good for you working on DH! Sorry your DD is acting out a lot. Hope it's just a quick phase!

Jackie & RR, how are you guys hanging in? :grouphug:
