Hi everyone. My twins are 9 years old and they are boy and girl. A very hectic and crazy pair. They are constantly fighting lately and I think I am going crazy. I did drink lots of water the last 2 days and I walked 3 miles today with my neighbor. I feel really good tonight just so anxious for this weight to fall off.
Thanks for all of your support. Bobbie |
Good evening to all..................
Hope everyone is having a good day. Lauren: Sorry to hear that Peter is sick. That stuff has been all over here, and so far we have escaped it. Sure hope we don't get it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you and DH don't get it. Bobbie: We have twin nieces in our family that are 12 and my SIL has problems with them fighting, so your not alone. I'm sure in time that things will get better. Good job on drinking lots of water and walking. I have been trying to drink more water these last couple days, and like you, I feel so much better after doing that. RR: I took a quick glance at the pictures of Kaylee, and she is so adorable. Hello to Rabbit, Karen & TX I have been very down tonite. My mom has been real ill with her liver since Oct of 2002. Although, for the last 8 months or so, she has done really well, until now. I talked to my Dad earlier today and he took my mom to the dr because lately she has not been feeling very well. He told them she is real sick and there is not much he can do to treat her because of her liver condition. She has schrorsis of the liver, (I know I did not spell it right), and believe it or not she never has a drink in all her life. She also has diabetes. I'm thinking I might go home for Easter and spend some time with her. Please keep her in your prayers that she will get to feeling better. My Dad tells me to try and not worry, but guess what, I am worried!!!!! Take care and I will check in tomorrow. Jackie |
Jackie, sorry to hear about your mom, I will keep her in my prayers.
Bobbie, good for you getting the water in. |
Hi guys,
I am having a couple of my Mom's Club mom's over today. I am going to teach them how to make my version of Gumbo. (I hate boiled okra so my Gumbo is Gumboless!!) I made a big batch yesterday and made up two containers for them to take home for dinner (as well as for tasting this afternoon!). I made a goodie bag with a box of cornbread mix, a bag of boil in bag rice and a copy of the recipee. All they have to do is make the cornbread, boil water for the rice and heat the gumbo and voil`e...dinner. I hope they like it. There's not much else going on here today. I've been making a concerted effort to keep the house clean for the past two weeks. I did a lot of heavy cleaning last week and I'm trying to keep it up this week. So far, so good. I'm doing a different chore everyday. Monday I dusted everything that needed dusting and the floors as well as top cleaning the bathroom and some laundry. Yesterday I did the floors and general picking up (I was pretty busy with that Gumbo!!). Today I did the floors and more laundry. I'm seeing a pattern with the floors here. I think the dog needs another bath to get rid of some of her excess hair. I've done really well for lunch the past couple of days. Don't want to mention dinner yet!! Bobbie: Cool on the walking. Once our playroom is done I'll be down there with the treadmill staring me in the face. Hopefully I'll get my lazy butt in gear and start exercising more regularly. Jack: I'm so sorry about your mom. Of course your going to worry. I hate when people tell you not to worry. She's your mom and there's no way you can not worry. Chirrosis can have other causes, altho most people only know about the alcohol link. I hope she feels better real soon. OK, I'm just chattering away 'cause I get nervous about people coming!! Especially when I'm teaching!! Hope ya'll are having a super great day!! |
Karen: Thanks for the kind words. I have had this heavy burden for her the last 2 days and just can't shake it. I hope it's a sign she is going to get better and not worse.
Lauren: Thanks for the kind words. Hope you all are doing okay. I just don't feel like writing a whole lot right now, and hope you all understand. Just wanted to pop in and say Hi. Have a good evening. |

Karen--Okra-less gumbo????? That is like noodle-less spaghetti!!!  I have a great recipe for gumbo..hot and spicy!! Hope all went well!!! Lauren--Kaylee had the crud but is it getting better thanks to the Rescon GG!! That is a miracle drug when she is soo snotty and the ears were clear!! Ok..what can be done with emptying the dryer on the floor, tearing up the newspaper, unrolling toilet paper, dismantleing the computer, etc etc Could this be the start of the "terrible two's"????? Hello to everyone!!! Off to work!! TGIF!!! Vicki |
hello everyone. I'm a little behind on posting. Haven't been doing very well at journaling either : but I'm starting a new journal today. I'm only going to be here part of the week but will journal when I'm home.
Saturday I'm going to Chicago overnight. Then on Tuesday morning I leave early for a trip with my dad and stepmother. We are going to visit DS in DC. I will be back the following Tuesday. It should be a fun trip! Have a great weekend! Rabbit *9.3 down, 15.7 to go |
Hi guys,
The carpet is in!! Yeah. They came yesterday. They were supposed to be here between 12 and 5. They finally arrived at 7:30 and were here until 11:00. I got the room pretty much put back together today. The handyman is coming to fix the doors and then we will be in business!! We hung out down there this afternoon. I had to be creative with blocking off the doorways. Now I can't wait for the furniture to come. Jack: Just post when you want to. We understand that you are going through a hard time. We will be thinking about you. Rabbit: Wow, sounds like you are going to have a busy weekend. Enjoy! RR: Yeah, I know. Sacrilege huh!! I hate boiled okra tho. It was a good day and the ladies seemed to enjoy it. I didn't make it spicy since I didn't know their tastes. DH and I like it fairly spicy. OK, gotta go. Boy has crawled out of the room! |
Hi to all of you....
Just wanted to give you all a quick update on my Mom. Her bloodwork showed that her kidneys are not working properly. They have increased her water pills to 3 a day and then will check her again next Thursday and see if she improved or not. If everything goes as planned, I will be with her 2 weeks from today for the weekend. I am looking forward to being able to be off that weekend from work. Karen: Sounds like the room is coming together. I know you will be so happy when everything is finished. Did I read right that they were there until 11PM at night? Rabbit: Hope you enjoy your weekend Lauren: Hope your not sick. How's Peter? RR: I remember those terrible 2's, matter of fact I think my DS goes thru them at times. LOL Thanks for keeping my mom in your prayers. Hi to everyone else I missed. Have a great weekend! |
Hi All,
Popping in for a quick hello! Work was crazy this week!! The sales meeting starts tomorrow (yes, Sunday), and lasts through Wed. 4/7, so after that, things should slow down a bit. I think actually that things will slow down slightly while the meeting is going on, for me, since everyone I support will be at the meeting, which is offsite at a hotel. I was at work until a little after 7 last night! I don't mind, it's a good busy, and I'll get paid OT. :) Peter was better, but yesterday he had diarrhea 3x and puked right after they called me, but since it was mid-afternoon, they said they'd keep him. I guess we'll keep him off dairy a little longer. Daycare seems to think he had too much dairy, with the yogurt and milk. I agree, they shoul've spaced him out on it a little. He's been fine since last night. Hope everyone's having a great weekend. BIL is down from Boston, his last visit before he moves to San Fran, where he'll be living with his fiance. They're getting married Oct. 30th. |
Hi guys,
We are so loving the new room. We hung out there for most of the day. We watched movies (Bruce Almighty and My Big Fat Greek Wedding). I can't wait to get the real furniture. We went out for breakfast this morning and Alex ate eggs, pancakes and blueberries. He wouldn't eat the scrambled egg I made but he ate IHops!! Go figure. Lauren: Glad that work is hopping. That makes the days go so much faster. I hated slow days that just drug by. I hope that Peter is feeling better. We started with a little milk but he got eczema so we stopped it. I may try it again once he's a year. Jack: I'm glad that you will get to spend some time with your Mom. OK, gotta go!! |
