January was a frustrating month for me, but I usually get frustrated when starting a diet. In the past, I would lose a lot of weight the first week (think 5 lbs or more) and then the weeks after that would slow to less than a pound a week. I was expecting that this time but I only lost 1.5 lbs in the first few days and then nothing for over a week. However, I never gave up and still made my goal so I'm happy with how it all turned out. February will be an interesting month. I'm leaving for a cruise to the Bahamas at the end of the month. I really want to get under 200 lbs before I leave. The cruise is only for a week so I'm going to try to exercise a lot on the ship (use the stairs instead of the elevator, walk on the jogging track and maybe hit the gym) and try to pick healthier choices when available. The day we leave and the day we return, I'm going to try to stay within my calorie limit. I'd like to limit my weight gain from vacation to 5 lbs or less.
