Good Afternoon!!

The rest is a vent feel free to skip!!

The doula called two hours before she was supposed to be here and told me she couldn't be my doula because it could take her two hours to get here!! This appointment was made a month ago and she's just now deciding this?? I told her where I lived and where I was delivering in the original conversation we had and it wasn't a problem then. I know I'm hormonal (was crying at songs on the radio) but right now I'm just mad, mad, mad!!:mad: It's going to be way late now to look for someone. They were getting booked up for May when I originally started looking last month. GRRRRRR.

End of vent!!

I looked up a lot of crockpot recipes online last night and went out shopping this morning. I'm going to try cooking more. Maybe using the old crockpot will help. I've been so tired when I get home from work that I don't want to even think about cooking. If it's mostly done when I get home I won't have much to complain about!!

RR: You have the Medela PIS right? How are you liking it? I found a brand new one in a sealed box on Ebay for $192. I know it's early but I was just wondering if I should go ahead and get it. I know they are $279 in the stores here.

Karen--I found one cheaper without any shipping costs at an independent website..Do a search under google.com and type in medela breast pump..I almost bought the one for the same price on e-bay but changed d/t free shipping..plus 1 yr warrenty.I really like it!!!Sorry about the Doula..that is pretty irresponsible..

I think I must be nesting. I've been cleaning all weekend. I even took the stuff off of the shower caddy and cleaned it. I think I've only done that once in four years. :D

RR: I had done an online search through Google and the cheapest I found was $206. The one on ebay has free shipping. It's a nine day auction so I'm going to watch it for awhile. I just can't decide if I should get it.

Karen- That's a pretty good price. If you can't find one cheaper, like where RR did, definitely go for it! Did you get your bedding out of Pottery Barn Kids?? I got a catalog from them yesterday and saw the cutest space theme bedding!! I love it!! I love their stuff, but they're a little pricey. That really stinks that the Doula screwed you at the last minute like that. It's too bad you're not closer to me, our childbirth instructor is also a doula.

WEll, I have an appointment today at 10 with that healthclub to check things out..DH is kind of disappointed that I dont want to do a family membership at the club by our house but I just am not comfortable with men and I know I will not go!!!He understands, but cant see spending the extra money to get 2 memberships at different places..The ladies club where I have been going for years, is just soo out of the way, now that I will be working different hours, I would be frustrated with the traffic at that time of the evening...The ladies club next door to daycare is just sooo perfect for me.....(I am convincing myself I am doing the right thing!!!!)Men are soo strange--he didnt even hesitate buying an antique coke machine last week, along with a Rolex watch, and lets not forget the new picture for the living room, the olive jar, the power washer and oh yeah the ice hockey table, electronic dart board etc etc...hmmmm..that was the last 2 weeks... :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: They are just weird!!!!

I am gonna start writing a food diary I think...See if I am doing good with eating..WE all think we are but sometimes seeing it in writing changes things!!!:s: :s: I am back to work 1/2 day next Friday...yuck..Kaylee has to go for her ear checkup soo I thought 4 hrs of daycare the first day would be enough...I am gonna cry next Friday(14th)!!!!I am ready, but sad, but happy but miserable...Make sense???:?:

Hi ladies! Just checking in...I've been way off track the past couple of weeks, trying to get it all back together this week. Between work getting busy, getting sick AGAIN, and ice storms, I just haven't been focusing on the eating healthy & exercising bit.

Hope everyone is doing well...I'm going to be sporadic here again for awhile, but will try to check in every few days or so.

I don't know what the heck has been going on with me but I've been having major troubles. I've been very depressed over the past week. I'm tired and starving all the time. I've also been having terrible nightmares every night. Everything is in bloom here in FL and my allergies are causing me a ton of misery. So needless to say my weekend went well!!! I didn't step foot out of the house the entire time except for going to the garage to switch out laundry. The good news is that it's Monday and I made it to the gym this morning so I'm feeling somewhat better. I won't even begin to list out all the food I ate. It was bad!!!! The good thing was that I was too lazy to get in my car and drive to fast food where I would have ordered one of everything off their menu.

Hopefully I didn't cause too much damage!!! :(

You know, my company just keeps getting worse and worse to deal with!! :mad: I just found out I have to go back to work all day Friday, so that I can take the time off after that. Apparently you have to come back to work F/T before you can borrow vacation time or anything else. My FIL said he'd babysit, but he can't until 10:00, which means I have to go in late and stay late. :( I really didn't want to work a whole day right off the bat, because I'm afraid I won't be able to get myself together that early!! And I'm not ready to leave him yet!! :cry: And then there's the whole pumping issue!!

My crockpot meal tonight was yucky!! :( Not so bad that we didn't eat it, but we only ate it because it was what we had. It was chicken with apples, onions and curry powder. I think I should have doubled or tripled the curry powder and chunked up the chicken breasts instead of leaving them whole. Oh well, better luck next time!!

Lauren: I'm so sorry you have to go back on Friday!!! How long will you be able to take off after that? I hope a nice long time.

RR: You too!! I can't believe it's time for you guys to go back to work. Good luck with the gym stuff.

Liz: Today is a new day. Just forget the weekend and get back on track. Good luck.

Karen- I am borrowing a week vacation next week, then using the vacation I've earned soo far, and sick and float I've earned, which will give me another week, then 4 weeks of 1/2 days. Unfortunately 1/2 the day will be unpaid, but I won't have to go back F/T until April 21st...and Petey won't have to go to daycare until then. :)

Bummer about dinner. I made pork chops with apples and onions Friday night...was pretty good, I baked it though.

Well..I joined the club...Kaylee stayed in the daycare while I worked out and did great!!THe girls name was Kailey that watched her..I was waiting for her to cry..but she was sitting in her lap laughing at the tv when ever I peaked in...Daycare will do her good(convincing myself)because she is soo clingy to me..Poor DH gets upset cuz he cannot console her some times...I just wonder why she cries for no reason at times....It is a mystery that she is laughing then the pout and cry happens seconds later....

Lauren--what a weird policy at work..But U must play the game!!! There has been soo many changes at my job..We have new uniform colors, new hours, new manager and assistant manager etc etc..We did get a bonus check on friday and they took out 40% tax on it...People were soo mad...but some is better than none to me!!!!!

I'm feeling much better. I satisfied my food craving last night -- cheese -- lots of cheese!!! :cheese: I've been without for awhile and was having major withdrawals. I went to the store and bought two different kinds with some yummy crackers (not low fat :devil: ) and had some of that with a glass of wine for dinner. It wasn't good for me but I'm so happy now!! :sssh: I even managed a great workout this morning -- I thought I would be all bloated and sluggish but nope.

RR, don't women of all ages do that!?!?! :lol: I'm glad the workout went well for you.

LBH, sounds like you have it all figured out. April 21st is still a long ways away. Make sure you enjoy every second.

KK, sorry about the meal being bad. My DH is the crockpot king. Everytime I try and make something in it I don't turn it up high enough or add enough seasonings -- it's never good.

Liz--WOW..good perception!!! Hmmm..I guess she is normal after all!!!:lol: :lol: Never thought of it that way!!!

Hi All,

Been a rough day here. Peter was awake all night, pretty much...just being cranky. :( He was pretty fussing all day today too, but I got him to nurse from 12:45-1:30 on both sides! :D He has been fairly good since then. I told him, see, when you get the booby juice straight from the tap, you feel much better!! :lol:

We have to go to a class tonight at DH's church for the baptism. Not sure what to expect, but I'm thinking I'm not gonna be too thrilled. Hope they don't mind Peter being there, since he is the reason for it!!

Talked to the ped. today and he said I could switch to the low iron formula, since I'm mixing with breast milk. Said the soy could have been making him constipated. He also said he's in the minority of Drs. that don't care for the iron fortified formulas, thank goodness! Basically, since he's getting BM, he's already getting the right amount of iron from me, so getting it in his formula is just OD'ing him.

Liz- Good for you getting the cheese and wine craving out of your system! :lol: Hey, it must be good for you, it got you exercising! :lol:

RR- Glad things worked out with the gym and daycare! Why did they deduct 40% taxes?? Isn't that a lot more than usual. Isn't the usual amount like 20 something??

Well, I guess it wasn't that bad but, boy, am I glad that it is over!! My whole lip and cheek are still numb. Not hard to have a light dinner when your numb!! DH is fixing a friends computer so I didn't have to worry about making dinner for him.

Liz: Yeah on getting back on track. Sometimes you just gotta go for the craving and get it out of your system. Then you can get back in the groove. Yeah for the exercise.

RR: Cool on the gym/workout. Glad that Kayleigh was fine with the daycare.

Lauren: I hope Petey sleeps tonight!!

Well...I went to the health club yesterday...I did 18min on the treadmill and they came and got me to settle Kaylee in the nursery..OMG she was screaming and redfaced..I nursed her and gave her back to the girl...7 minutes on the treadmill, they came and got me again..I decided to pack it in cuz she was really mad about being there...I put her in the carry seat....and the little princess :devil: was asleep before I got to my car...I marched right back in, put her back in the nursery...and did my completed workout, drove home and she was still asleep..The girls there were laughing...She is soo funny and vocal...Loves to make "spit" noices and giggles!!!!!

Karen--glad the dentist trip is over!!! The stress is what messes up the sugars..U r almost there!!!!

Off to pump, dress and then hit the club!!!Hopefully she will behave today!!!!!

RR- OMG, that's too funny!! Good for you going back in and finishing your workout! :clap: I would've been soo stressed out, I would've just gave up.

Karen- I hate that numb feeling. I remember the first time I got a cavity filled, I didn't know that you shouldn't put ice on it, it was summer and I had walked a mile + to the dentist. Stopped at Mc D's on the way home to get a drink, and put some ice on my lip...LOL!!

Peter slept really good last night, was up at around 11, 1 (didn't eat), 3, and 5:30. At 1 I just cuddled him a minute and put him back down. He wasn't interested in bottle or nursing at 5:30 either, and went back to sleep until 8:15 or so. Then I started worrying, because he wasn't eating. He had his whole bottle at 8:30 though. He woke up again at around 10:00, he ate a little around 11, but not much...spit up a bit though. Now he's sleeping again, and I'm still worried. He doesn't have a fever, but he's very tired...and hasn't pooped since Monday evening. I bought a Fleet Babylax last night. If he doesn't poop by tonight, I'll do it. :(

I think it's stopped raining now, so I may get him dressed when he wakes up and go for a walk, since it's not super cold out.

Lauren: So glad that Petey slept last night. I read on Storknet that BF babies don't poop that often. They sometimes go 4-6 days without.

I had another crockpot failure tonight. So far I'm 1/3!! I think my meat was too thin. Probably about 1/4". It just dried out with a whole can of tomatoes and was really pretty yucky. I ate it anyway!! :D

OK...Kaylee is pooping 5-6 times a day still...I think it is the antibiotics maybe???? The Pedi said they can go sometimes 10 days without or continue freq during the day..It is all normal!!!OK....we are done with the poop dialogue!!!:p :p

She did great at the club yesterday...They watched her for 2.5 hrs and she didnt cry..just wimpered....Well...I had measurements:o and body fat tested :o :o and my workout reset up...I am 36" at the top!!! Yeah!!!!I will not reveal the others!!!!!;) ;) This new club is soo nice...Small but the machines are brand new and really cool!!! the best part is the convenence to me when picking up Kaylee after I go back to work...It is $6 more a month, but no extra gas to drive there since it is 1 mile from my house and next to the daycare!!!!I am staying motivated cuz I want to wear something "special" for DH's birthday in August!!!!:devil: :devil: :devil: That is my incentive!!!!

Hi All,

Had a good night last night. DH went to sleep at around 7:30, because he was tired. Ended up not waking up until after Peter and I went to bed around 10:30. He woke up around 11:30 he said, and came out to watch TV. Peter woke up at 1:45-2:00, so DH took him and fed him. I got to go back to sleep until he woke up again at 4:00! :) I felt pretty rested. To bad we can't do that every night.

RR- I'll take a couple of those poops up this way!! :lol: I ended up giving him a baby lax yesterday and he finally pooped a couple times.

We are going to be having some mild weather here this week, so I'm hoping to get out and walk a lot...OK, a bit. I got a card in the mail yesterday from the new WW by me, having free registration until this weekend. Not that it's anything special since they're having free registration everywhere anyway!! :lol: I really want to join, but I have no money right now...still haven't gotten money from the state! I called the state and the last check was Feb. 4th!! :eek:

OMG, I just called the state and the reason i don't have a check yet is because my dr. never told them i gave birth!! :eek: The lady i spoke with was really nice and said she's gonna have the examiner look at it and find out exactly what the story is and call me back! I can't believe this!! :mad:

Thank God my landlord is soo understanding, but this is ridiculous, i still owe her feb. rent, nevermind march!! they were even nice enough to only charge us 1/2 the utilities for jan/feb because of the baby!!

Ugh, have a better day than me all!!

We just got home. I talked DH into leaving work early and taking me to Outback for dinner!! I ate well though, Salmon and veggies!! I haven't checked the sugar yet but it must be OK. :D We went grocery shopping and Target shopping so I'm all set!! I don't have to leave the house all weekend now. I'm making crockpot chili for dinner tomorrow. Yum!!

Lauren: Sure hope you get your money from the state soon. That's a total bummer. Geeze, I'm looking forward to that.
