Is anyone in the 30's 300+???
I'm usually in the 300+ threads because I don't see anyone in here that is 300lbs+... PLEASE tell me I not the only one :(
|
I started there (well, right at 300), so I "hang out" in the 300+, the 110 lb. and the 30-somethings thread (though this one the least of the three). You are not alone!

I'm in the 300's but hopefully not for much longer!

I'm here, but hope to not be over 300 for very much longer!!
I am over 300, which is a very scary weight for me. In October my mother had 11 small heart attacks and I went on low-carb, and in just a few weeks I fell off the wagon (which i'm sure we have all done), but when I heard about a month ago, about my long distance cousin, who was 37 died of a massive heart attack, leaving 6 children, a husband, and disabled parents behind, I decided enough was enough! So low-carb bound I went on Febuary 14, I know right, why Valentines day, well it had to a day, and that's just when I started. My biggest problem of being overweight was not being able to walk across campus, or even around the grocery store, without being short of breath. I developed asthma two years ago, and I NEVER want to have breathing issues ever again. I joined tan and tone robotics last friday and have worked out 45 min every day so far. I just took the March Exercise Challenge to do 540 minutes. So here I am 34, divorced, no children, blood sugars begining to level out, and some weight and inches coming off...
I wish the BEST of luck to everyone!! |
My high was 365.

@shapedself what was your breaking point?
|
I don't know that it was just one thing. Both my parents were very fat when I was growing up, and I especially remember them not being able to do active things with me because of their weight. I remember regretting that while growing up and still do sometimes now. At the time my daughter was one-year old, and I knew I never wanted her to feel that way about me.
I also just got "tired of being tired". I had so little motivation even to do trivial day to day tasks; so many things felt like such a chore. |
I'm not in the 3's but I got awfully close when I started my life style changes. I always thought 200 would be my breaking point, then 225, then 240 etc. It's easy to let things spiral out of control.

I started at 344 - look at me now - you can do this!!
|
Miss Donna, definitely not alone! I just hardly ever come to the 30 forums. (or the forums in gneeral I just am busy lately to get near a computer with internet). Anyway, am definitely in my 30's even if I ACT like i'm in my 20's or sometimes even like i'm in my teens!

Good Morning!!!! You are not alone. Im new here and trying to find my place in the forum. Im 38 and started at 327lbs. I dont look at weight loss as dieting, it is a change in lifestyle. Looking at it like that has helped me so much.
Please dont feel alone. Keep your head up. You can do this!!!! |
You are SO not alone! I started at 3FC at 298, but was 318 (and higher) before that. You are in good (great!) company. :)
