Hey, I'm back from our Ohio shows - they were really good....and I traded for some great things! (always the best part about making art and being at art shows is trading with other artists!!!).

I'm up 3 lbs. not bad for 3 weeks of restaurant food. Had a Dr apt yesterday afternoon ( we got home yesterday). She wrote me a script for Meridia (is that right?) said I can fill it if and when I want. She had a coupon for it so it'd only be $$70.00 (thats a lot to me!). I'm not sure I want to try it or not but maybe I could use it as a motivator and start losing weight again. I've been bouncing around the same 5 lbs for a full year now!!! - jul

Rabbit 12-12-2002 05:26 PM

hello.

I have weigh in tonight. Should have a good loss. I had a dr. appt. today and also last Thursday and they weighed me both times and I lost 3 pounds. woohoo! :)

Jul - glad you had fun at shows.

Karen - I got those packages mailed today!

I also got the cookies baked for the cookie exchange and they are in the freezer. Baking part of them today was probably a good thing as I wouldn't let myself eat any.

gotta run. Rabbit

Hi all,

Just 2 hours until I find out what Peanut is.........................

I can hardly wait!!

Will be back later.

KarenK 12-12-2002 10:11 PM

It's a boy!! His name will be Alexander Joel. It was so cool to have DH there with me to hear the heartbeat. The doctor said that he was moving around quite a bit, so that made me feel better too. I had convinced myself that, since I couldn't feel him, he must be quadraplegic!! I know, I'm a nutcase!!

OK, enough baby talk. According to their scale I gained 6 1/2 pounds. According to my scale at home I gained a pound. I think mine is right because I went to a different office with a different scale.

Hope you are all having a great evening.

LBH 12-12-2002 10:54 PM

Yeah!!! Another boy!!
Congrats Karen!! Will you call him Alex, or Alexander...maybe Zander??

Rabbit- How'd WI go? What kind of cookies did you make? DH wants me to make cookies for his CCD class for Sunday.

Jul- Welcome Back!! :D

Hi All,

RR- I forgot to mention my appt.! All went well, I lost 5 lbs. since 2 wks. ago, but I'm pretty sure I just maintained, because my last appt. was 6 PM, this was 9 AM, and my weight tends to fluctuate by at least a couple lbs., so I'm guessing either maintain, or possible 2 lb. loss. :D He was squirming around a lot, so it took her a minute to nail down his heart rate, but she said it was about 160 while squirming and probably down to 140-150 when he stopped. She didn't have a doppler with the read out. BP was good...although she didn't tell me what it was...I always ask, and it annoys me that she doesn't tell me...is it just "nurse's kid" syndrome that I think she should tell me, or what?! She said I could start coming every week now, but I told her I had already made my appts. through the next one, which is 12/26. She said if I don't feel like I need to come in next week, I don't have to. I guess I'll wait til 12/26.

Karen- And how is Mr. Alexander this AM...is he learning his name?! :D

Have a great day all!! We have DH's Holiday Party tonight, so I get to get all dressed up again.

Juldiet 12-13-2002 10:22 AM

Congrats on Alexander. We have an Alex (just Alex no ander) Avery. - jul

KarenK 12-13-2002 05:37 PM

Hi all. Thanks for the congrats on Alex. I'm going to call him Alex, DH is going to call him AJ.

Lauren: Wow, time to start weekly appts? I go for my level 2 sonogram on the 26th. I'm looking forward to that.

RR: Your date is really close. Are you nervous? I'm already nervous and I'm no where close!!

Jul: Welcome back!! Five pounds isn't bad especially considering you were eating in resteraunts the whole time you were away.

Rabbit: How was the ww meeting?

OK, gonna go get ready for dinner. Have a super evening!!

RoadRunner 12-13-2002 11:33 PM

Karen--very nervous..Have cried every day which is making my blood sugars a little nutty from the stress....I am scared to death..lost that mucus plug thingee and now panicked that the water may break and I will go into labor before Thursday..She is very active and I am ready..but really scared!!!!!!I see the Md on Monday...

I NEED all the prayers U can spare to get me through until Thursday when I have this little girl in my arms!!!!!
RR

KarenK 12-14-2002 08:44 AM

Hi all!!

RR: You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm wishing you all the best and an easy labor!!

LBH 12-14-2002 10:10 AM

Hi All,

Karen- My counter today says 4w5d left!! I'm still excited, but like Vicki, I think when I lose the plug, I'll probably start to freak! Hopefully DH will have better sense and calm me down and focus on what we've learned in class.

Vicki- Hang in there hon!! I'll be praying for you, you can do this!! Regardless of when or how she comes, you'll both be fine!! Don't forget, most people's water doesn't break until they're actually in labor, usually because the doctor breaks it! I think I sent you all my phone numbers, and the cell is on all the time, so just call if you need to...or have DH call when she gets here, so I can tell everyone!! :D

Well, DH & I have decided...for the 8 millionth time...to get serious about getting things done around here, and going to the bank to get things done, etc. Hopefully we'll do it today! I can't believe sometimes, what huge procrastinators we both are!!

Have a great day all...it's :rain: here.

Rabbit 12-14-2002 11:54 AM

hi all. I lost 2 pounds at weigh in. :)

Karen - congrats on the boy - cute name.:)

RR - hang in there.

Lauren - I made fudge drop cookies. They are choc. cookies with choc. icing. I love them.

gotta run. Have a great weekend.

Rabbit

Rabbit, great job on dropping 2 lbs. I'm avoiding all cookies - not making any or any chocolates, I even threw away cookies that a friend dropped off (after she left).

Vicki, just remember to keep breathing. My Dr had to break my water both times. A friend was telling a story last weekend about when he was a restaurant manager and had to deliver a baby - it was very funny! If only all labor would go as quickly as that womans!!!! 15 min. compared to 6 hours sounds wonderful!!! - jul
