Default Incredible shrinking woman...but I'm not talking about weight.

I'm shrinking! And I'm not talking about my waistline this time...
I've always listed my height as 5'6".
I know I was always a speck over 5' 5.5", so I'd round up to 5'6" when I had to give a whole number for inches.

But I was thinking the other day, that I haven't measured my height in over ten years, maybe more. So, I decided to measure...wall, pencil, measuring tape and like 3 retakes because I didn't believe it, but I'm measuring at 5 feet and 5.25 inches.

I know this is not good. I changed my height in my profile and my goal weight for my new rounded height 5'5".

Your height supposedly varies throughout the day, taller in the morning and shorter before bed. so that could be a factor.

I read an article about a woman recovering lost height using Pilates.

I never knew that about the time of day. I wonder just how much of a difference there is. Interesting about the pilates. Its worth a try! Thanks!

Check this out: stand near enough to a wall to touch the wall with your middle fingers when you hold your arms out parallel to the floor with straight elbows. Then, take one arm and bend it back until your forearm is at a 90 degree angle to your upper arm/bicep area. Then straighten it again and try to put it back at the wall where you had it seconds earlier. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TOUCH THE WALL, even though your other hand still there PROVES you did just seconds ago!

Think about any bending or stretching you do throughout the day. Your entire body is made up of tendons and muscles that stretch and lengthen and scrunch up to do all kinds of motions. Measure your height several times throughout the week. You're probably fine.
