Yay, Thistleberry! Please update us!
I'm at 150.6 today, but I just have this feeling that I'm going to see a drop this weekend after some good sleep. *Fingers crossed!*

I have to say that I'm going to be a little disappointed not to "fit" on this thread anymore! By the time you get to know a few people, you cheer each other right on out of the group! Haha.

There's a memorial day to labor day challenge thread if you're interested. It's a great way to reach these low goals this summer!

I hope the 150's come flying off for you guys too, for you all!!

As Tupac said in one of his songs:

This is such a great thread. I was posting in here over a year ago. I got below 150 and moved on to the 140s. Not much activity in that thread then I stopped posting all together. I can't wait to see some of you ladies over in the 140s. You are so encouraging. I personally have been stuck at 147 for months but haven't done anything to really try and move the scale. I started a diet this week and did great up till Friday night. I want to get back on track and join a gym I will actually go to. I'm sending skinny vibes to everyone and will drop in here to say Hi ever now and again.

Yay!!!!! Congratulations!!!!
I am bummed to say that I will not be joining you just yet.
Saturday, after my first 24 hour fast, (which I happily broke with a patty melt and dirty martini friday night) I weighed in at 150.1!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF. I was SO ready for the dip. .1!!! Wha???
Then, the weekend came in full force, with grilling and smores and whatnot, so this morning I was up to 151 again. I am chalking it up to salt since it's nearly impossible to gain a pound in one day. Lol.

This week, I am getting back to my workouts, and I know that will do the trick.

Who wants TMI from Thistle?
Anybody? You in the back? No? Oh. Well, I did promise I would post the results of my cheat day so I shall share regardless. I hadn't forgotten about posting it; I was just putting it off waiting for a clearer answer one way or the other.

T - 1350 - 158.4 (NROLFW, bike ride)
F - 3200ish - 158.8
S - 1660 - 159.4 (Zumba, NROLFW)
S - 1180 - 159.8
M - 1540 - 159.0 (Bodyflow)
T - 1560 - 157.8
W - 1740 - 158.6 (NROLFW, short walk)
Today - planning on 1500ish - 157.6 (planning on 5k walk/jog)

It looks to me like the weight went up due to sodium and came right back to 158ish. The 157 doesn't really excite me as I've seen it a few times here and there the last few weeks. It always goes back up to 158-159.

I should be eating 1665 on non-workout days and 2058 on workout days to lose weight according to the NROLFW book. I haven't been able to follow this advice on account of I have a mental block about the size of Pluto. (Demoted or not, it's still big.) I have managed to up them in general. I was eating in the range of 1200-1500. (Seriously, that 1700 day yesterday was a big victory for me. )
So right now my problems are these:

1. My plateau. Possibly it is broken? Possibly not. If today's weight holds then, yay, I'll finally have lost a pound! If it doesn't, well, on to week 7 and MOAR PATIENCE!1

2. I honestly think my body needs more fuel. There are days I feel exceptionally weak and exhausted. Sometimes I feel lightheaded, my concentration tanks, and I haven't been sleeping well which for me is a sure sign something is up because my sleep is generally pretty blissful. I think the NROLFW recommendations are closer to what I should be eating if I'm going to continue.

My plan going forward is to eat at maintenance for a week starting Sunday. I am putting it off until Sunday simply because my period ought to be over by then and thus won't be further mudding the waters. (Oh, yeah. I didn't mention that, did I? I've had mid-cycle bleeding from May 14th to June 1st when my real period took over. Usually when I have mid-cycle bleeding (which my doctor has assured me is nothing sinister) it does not continue after my period proper.) Anyway, after that I plan to try to stick more closely to the NROLFW numbers.

6/8 ETA - Weighed in at 156.6 this morning! I'm not convinced it was the cheat meal or not but I am so thrilled to see a new number!

Hi ladies, do you mind if I join in!?

I am battling getting out of the 150's after a few months of hovering... I weighed in yesterday at 152.8 lbs.

The lowest weight I have ever seen was 149 lbs and then it was like "woohooo.... let's celebrate with some food and fall off the wagon for weeks on end..." Yeah, not very smart! lol

My ultimate goal is to lose 100 lbs which would put my at 135 lbs. YIKES... seems so far away!

Hi Mom3LoveBugs! Of course you can join in. Glad to have you. And look at you so close to moving on to the 140s! You'll rock it out when you hit it this time.

So. I learned what is undoubtedly a very important lesson yesterday. On Saturday I decided it was about time to lose my office pallor. I slapped some spf 60 on my very pale self and set about lazing in the pool. The wind was in the trees, the birds were singing just for me, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I lay on my float with a trashy romance novel and felt positively decadent.

Thus do I find myself with an angry sunburn gracing the entire backside of my body from my head to my toes. Everything except my middle. Thank God I decided I wasn't ready for a bikini.

Anyway, it turns out that when one is a crispy critter, the temperature is very hot and the day extremely humid, that sticking to one's lifting program is a very bad idea. I thought I'd be okay. I work out at home in the finished basement and it's a good 20 degrees cooler down there. I was drinking plenty of water. I took a cool sponge bath after.

I wasn't okay.

It crept up on me but I soon was feeling incredibly nauseous, dizzy, and weak with a headache to boot. I think I passed out, briefly, on the living room couch but I can't be sure. All I know is that afterwards I tried to drink some water or gatorade and my entire body rejected the notion. I felt so sick to my stomach! And moments later as I bowed before the porcelain throne and the contents of my stomach scrambled to make an exit of the entrance, it came to me that the skin is an organ like any other and certainly I wouldn't try to work out if one of my kidneys was half blackened, would I?

Heat exhaustion, ladies, beware the heat exhaustion. And take sunburn seriously, too. Consider this like a double PSA.

ETA: I spent the rest of the day guzzling water with a cool compress on my head and a cold pack on my thighs (the theory was the femoral artery would circulate the cold). I took off work today as I am dubious about my ability to sit on a half-burned bum for 8 hours and I'm not going to Flow tonight because abstaining from further exercise just seems a rather smart idea at the moment. I certainly didn't mean to treat my body poorly and, believe me, I plan to be a bit more cautious in future!

Thistleberry - that sounds so scary! I'm glad you took some time off to get better. Having a burned bum is horrible. I burned my rear end once & had to fly - I was so uncomfortable in my chair. I wanted to just stand to give my butt a break. =P I hope you get back to normal fast. At least you will have a rockin tan soon!

Yay, Mom3LoveBugs! And thanks for the sympathy.

Oh DollyMichelle, if only! Usually I don't wind up with much color if I burn. It all just goes away. I've been very, very diligent with the lotion this time though so maybe that will make a difference.
! Poor thing, that plane ride must have been torture! I'm finding my bra is more uncomfortable on my back than my bum is on the chair, but it's getting better day by day.

I weighed in this morning at 155.6. It isn't "official" until Thursday, but whatever, I'm kinda stoked. I saw 154 the other day but I'm not dwelling on it because I think it was largely due to being dehydrated.
