It took me a long time to get into the exercise mood. You have to just decide to to it, kind of like you just decide to eat healthy. It's only 30 minutes - 1 hour a day. That's only one tv show long!
One thing I did that really helps is I print out a calendar each month and have it on my fridge. Each day I write in what I did for exercise that day. Right now it's 30 day shred and walking. It's motivating to see most of the days filled in! And it gets me in gear if I look at it and see too many blank days. |
ooo that is a good idea. I shall start that tomorrow morning!

I think the key to exercise for those that hate the thought of it (like I did 8 short weeks ago) is to join a group. For me it was a all women's boot camp. For you, it could be the same or a spinning class etc. You need to make sure there are set times the same everyday of the week so you are on some sort of schedule.
This is amazing for me and getting it done in the morning I no longer view it as a CHORE but something I WANT to do! |
When I started exercising about 7 weeks ago I refused to measure myself again until Wk. 3. Now I measure every Monday morning. It also took me a few weeks to find a good rhythm for myself. I spend one week alternating between WII Fit and walking, then the next week I only walk. It has helped with plateaus and gives me a good change up to help curb boredom. I have gone from having a firmly planted a$$ in a chair to 5 miles 5 days a week.
Already you have made it 7 days!!! A lot of people give up within the first 3 days of a lifestyle change! So way to go!! |
