Thanks Morton Pixie and welcome Ducktape.

I successfully made it through my first day and a half of the 4 day diet (its not actually a 4 day diet, its broken down into modules that are 4 days long). I did find myself hungry at points yesterday but not starved. I have been trying to lose weight since Sept and ppl are noticing. A lady at work told me I looked like I lost weight. I'm eating my salad now and hoping it doesn't upset my stomach.

Hope everyone is cruising along. I need to add in working out again. I wanted to get use to the new eating habits first. I know I'd be famished if I was doing both. I'm walking a little bit more to get in some cardio.

Hi everyone!

I can join this group as of this morning. I did see 168.5 a few weeks ago but was back at 171 the following morning.

I've been doing Herbal Magic since March and have lost over 50lbs and over 60 since Jan 1/10.

I'm determined not to let the holidays get me off track (I say as the chocolate covered fruit arrangement arrives...). I will see the 150's before my daughter's 18th birthday on January 29th!

We can all do this!

Tama - Welcome and congrats on all you achieved mini - goals. I can't wait to get my signature line and fill in my ticker and goals.

With any luck (actually with a strict diet and exercise), I will be in the 150's by the end of Dec.

Well I am the one that started this thread and since then have been totally off of the diet bandwagon. I have only gained a few lbs back but so ready to get back on track and get on with the losing! I had been jogging quite a bit and had cut out most carbs and watching portions, but since the days got shorter and the mornings much darker, jogging was a thing of the past. Just last night we purchased a very nice elliptical trainer and plan to start using that tonight.
I am also back on track, just trying to watch portions and figuring I better do something with the GNC Lean Shakes that my boyfriend bought this summer and hasnt used. We will see where this gets me. I am technically not in the 160's right now, weighed 172.6 this morning but do NOT plan on staying there for long. Glad to be back!

Welcome back Peaches and thanks for starting this thread.

I have not started back to exercising yet. I joined a gym and their is one at the Institute I work at. I have no excuse for not going. I was really sick last week and started a new diet this week. Since I'm out of the first stretch of the diet, I'm going to start adding back cardio and weight training once my protien intake is up. I'm taking little bits at a time. I tend to overwhelm myself and completely give up.

I'm excited to report I lost 2 lbs. Part of my new resolution has been taking the train to work and I made it all 5 days this week. It is really a big accomplishment for me getting up and doing what I need to and leaving on time. Cut it close this morning. Just reminds me I need to prepare in advance and stick to the schedule/plan.

I wi today at 160.5

I'm headed to the gym this morning. Just got to get motivated to get off my couch.

Today I'm cleaning up my place and hanging out with my friend. She wants to bake cookies. I said I'll bake but I can't eat them and we need to find some place to donate them too.

Thanks Duck.

We didn't make any cookies. However, I did indulge in a few sugary items over the weekend, but no where near the amounts I use to consume.

I'm really happy with how my progress is coming along. Today I need to be able to avoid the birthday cake . Thats gonna be a real test.

I was 165.7 at weigh in today! 2 lbs down from yesterday, so that must be water, but I guess the water needs to come out too.

Pushing to lose 2 lbs per week until I hit my goal in June. Fingers crossed.

Hi Hope,

That is my goal too. My one friend said it was pretty aggressive. I told her not to worry and I wasn't going to go crazy if I missed it. I'm just tired of feeling so fat and bloated.

Very cool! Its definately a challenging goal. I just feel like I put off or avoid so many things that I would enjoy because of my weight. I want this summer, and the rest of my life to be different. Good luck to you, hopefully we can spur each other on in reaching our goals!

Very challenging especially when you go off diet and have pumpkin pancakes/eggs/bacon/hashbrowns at IHOP for dinner . I needed it though. I had been so good all week and need to treat myself. Unfortunately I'm broke till Friday and then I have access to some cash from my mom. I have food at home but nothing to make a salad which I know was really helping.

Hope everyone else did better than I did last night.

The scale said 169.8 this morning, so here I am! I was in the 170's for about 6 months and took a mini break from losing to maintain. I'm back at it again and hoping to finish my journey for good this time.

160's here we go!
