Weight Loss Plans

What type of weight loss/work out plans are you following?! Do you customize them for yourself or are you following a plan such as weight watchers etc?!

I am following WW. I am also making healthier choices. More whole grains, fruits and veggies, lower fat options. Things like that.

Sounds great! I have done WW before and I am wondering if I should try again! I was some what successful before.

I did WW many years ago by going to the meetings, and I was successful for a while but gained it back. Then I counted points on my own without going to the meetings (in 2006-07) and I lost 110 pounds. The only reason I gained weight back that time was eating too much during pregnancy! Now I'm counting calories, but only because I find that I'm more accurate that way.

You'll hear a lot of bad things about WW on these boards for some reason -- I'm always coming to its defense, because there are so many misconceptions from people who have never actually done it. If you're comfortable with WW, you should go that way! Otherwise, you can count WW points or calories on your own and come to 3FC for the support you would get at meetings.

I am counting calories using a free website called www.fatsecret.com (there is also a free app for my phone!) I exercise 4-6 days a week for an hour and try to build muscle to increase my metabolism.

Oooh free apps on your phone are great! That is so awesome for on the go stuff you can track your calories while you are on the go!

hi i think ww is great, have been a member with success... Now that i have diabetes i follow a low carb diet - so far so good :)

I follow WW. I love it! Out of every diet I've tried, it was the only one that let me live a normal life. I can still eat like a normal person, but I've learned portion control. I feel, for me, its the only diet I can maintain for life. Also, I've had some eating disorder issues in my early 20's. I would say, count calories and slowly cut back and cut back...I super restrict my intake. I went on atkins, and ended up eating one atkins bar for breakfast, a dry salad for lunch and an atkins bar for dinner...for months!! And lost a lot fo weight then went off it and gained it back. For some reason, WW not only helps me to not eat too much but not eat too little. Its sounds weird, but it works for me. Pregnancy is the reason (both times) I gain back the weight, and here I am with baby #2 only 3 weeks old, and back on ww.

Hi all! My plan is to: (1) drink lots of water, (2) eat SuperFoods, (3) count calories with help from FitDay, (4) run/walk, (5) do 10-Minute Trainer several times per week. Slowly, I'm putting these 5 pieces together, so that my weight loss plan will come full circle. One thing at a time, though!

So great to hear! Since I have been on the program before I think that this is at least what I am going to start out with this time around!
