Meal planning?

Ok. I am weird. I admit it. I don't know if this should go here, or in food or somewhere else.

I don't plan my meals. Period. I always make whatever is easy, and what I have time for. Sometimes I have time in the morning, others not so much.

And to complicate matters, my BF is laid off and usually makes dinner before I get home from work. So I don't know what dinner will be like.

This all being said, I have lost nearly 15 lbs. Stayed within my WW points, and never used all the weekly points.

Any suggestions? Others like me? People who can't or don't plan their meals?

Sorry, not me ;) I plan my meals like crazy. It's the only thing that works for me.

You're lucky that you can lose without planning!

I don't 'plan' anymore- I just know what fits. And I eat alot of the same things... SERIOUS creature of habit here.

I know I can have:

a bowl of cereal/milk OR
a grilled cheese OR
a banana and a piece of toast for breakfast.

I eat the same lunch all the time. Soup, with the broth drained out and a fruit cup.

And for supper I have a meal I eat 4 or 5 times a week:

Chicken breast, small naked potato (baked) and a cup of green beans. Otherwise I know I can have about 200 cals of meat, and 150 of sides.

Snacks are the only thing I really vary--depending on what I feel like. Mostly 100 calorie packs and energy bars. The occasional pudding cup. A handful of nuts.

You have to know what you are eating (one way or the other) in order to be successful. Food is most of the journey here(to me).

I'm in between.

I don't lay it all on a weekly chart of anything.

But when I decide to create a meal I know to plan something for protein, veg, starch, etc.

I take it to a whole new level. Think OCD. I cannot lose without a plan.

I am a planaholic. I even have a chart on the frig because I hate the question "what's for dinner" kills two birds with one stone :-)

Keep it as simple as possible. I always struggle when I try to add too much detail. It ends up taking to long and I want to give up. Pick some favourite foods or meals and mix it up : )
