Hello 30-somethings,
I have been lurking here and posting a bit on featherweights, so I figure it's time to introduce myself...
I am newly-38, a navy wife, mom of 3 children (6, 4 and 16 months) and live in Maryland.
I spend a lot of time bumping up and down on the scale, mostly due to terrible eating habits (sugar, tons of carbs, too much snacking) and inconsistent exercise. Usually, my weight loss plans are "get to the low-130s" and "do it by exercise only and eating whatever."
As I'm getting older, I realized that I was not setting my goal where I really want to be (below 130) out of fear and that my lousy eating habits were not going to serve me well moving forward. So here I am! With a new goal that I've only said out loud once :-) and a new focus on eating healthfully. I know the road ahead of me isn't as long as many on this site, but I think we are working through the same challenges and can all learn from and support each other!
