yo-yoing in the 230s
I am so irritated with myself. I keep bouncing around the 230s. I know this because I've been checking everyday. I need to hide the scale, but its a replacement since the one i had broke somehow during my move, and its eciting to have a working scale again. Arrggh! I need to not check so much.

You already know that you're achieving your goal and losing weight. Don't put so much stock in the the number on the scale on a daily basis. The number will continue to drop if you continue to do what you've been doing.

I weigh every day - but only "accept" the number on Monday. If I don't weigh every day, I will slack and figure I "have time" to diet right before I weigh on Monday. WRONG.
It's okay to weigh - just don't freak out. If you are sticking to your calorie budget and exercising, it WILL come off. |
Good advice mortonpixie!
I weigh everyday, too. While it sometimes aggravates the heck out of me, it also consoles and encourages me when my weekly number catches me off guard (usually in a bad way). To try to keep it in perspective, I look at my weight loss graph on fitday. Nice to look at that line steadily heading down! |
By the way, feel free to call me a hypocrite since I frequently clutter the chat whining about my morning number! I guess what it comes down to is the positive encouragement when it moves down outweighs (no pun intended) the frustration when it unexpectedly moves up.
