I haven't read most of the book yet, but you eat 4 400 cal meals per day, you have to include one MUFA which is nuts, olives, some oils, and other stuff. It has alot of whole grains, fruit, protein. It seems pretty healthy. My mom has done it off and on I just talked to her she said it really works and she feels really good when she is on it. It kinda reminds me of a whole foods/Mediterranean diet just a little dif. If you want anymore details I will be happy to give them I plan on reading most of the book in the next couple days.

I've read a lot of negative reviews about the Flat Belly Diet, but this one incorporates all the bad stuff into one place:

There are good things about this diet, no questions: eating smaller meals, no expensive foods/powders to buy (goes towards affordability), eat good fats rather than bad ones, and increase proteins to feel fuller for longer. That's good, solid advice.

But- as with all "lose X pounds in Y days" programs, it's caveat emptor (buyer beware). These types of diets are for women who want to lose 5-10 pounds, not anything substantially more than that. Most of what you will lose will be water, along with some fat and some lean muscle (remember, your heart is a muscle). The dietary and exercise advice is questionable. You can't spot reduce. Eating monounsaturated fats will help reduce belly fat, but so will exercise and eating properly.
