March Biggest Losers Weigh In

Good Morning Girls!!

218/-2.6/215.4:)

YAY!!! Starting March off on the right foot!!

mortonpixie 03-01-2010 08:44 AM

Thanks for starting this thread for next month. Today's weigh in will go on the February stats, as February had 3 Mondays and March has 5.

Please post stats on the February thread, today.

Ugh! 180......I am so sad. :-( Got a full length mirror the other day. I get depressed every time I catch a glimpse of what I look like. Worse, though, is how I feel. Like a slug. I can actually pick up the roll on my belly and feel instant relief on my back. 3 c-sections really did me in. Now I wish I could get my body back to a healthy condition. It's been 2 and 1/2 years since my last. I'm struggling.

AFChick 03-02-2010 09:35 AM

AKAndi: Don't be sad...they say it takes 5 years after a normal birth for all your organs to get back to their original places...

Also, you have 3 miracles!

It's all a process...it's a place to start. Keep moving forward!

Eliana 03-02-2010 09:54 AM

I think that I will join. Why not? I need to MOVE the scale! This is my 11th day at EXACTLY the same weight.

3/1 and 3/2 198.4

kuchick 03-02-2010 10:00 AM

AKAndi - I know exactly how you feel. I've had 3 C-sections also, and my youngest is 3. I look 4 months pregnant and fear that the belly will never look normal again :( Just the 15 pounds I've lost seems to help some, so I remain hopeful that the belly will shrink more, but the C-section flap is hard to deal with.

AFChick - Thank you for saying that about organs returning to their normal places. I still think that I can look down at my tummy and see one side sticking out farther than the other - just like when I was pregnant. I keep wondering if there's something out-of-place in there :) Maybe the kiddos left some of their luggage behind?

Does anyone mind if I weigh-in with the Biggest Loser challenge. I don't have a partner (I wasn't here for the start of the challenge), but I joined a May challenge, and while I still post there, I seem to be the only one still there, and I just seem to be talking to myself there :)

I didn't realize there were partners. :o Perhaps we could partner?

Passionista 03-02-2010 10:29 AM

Partners aren't mandatory, just helpful, I imagine, if they actually stick around! I don't have a partner either. I requested and was given one but they never came back. Ah, internet life!

kuchick 03-02-2010 10:33 AM

Eliana - I don't know exactly how it works, I've just seen that many seem to have partners and I think it's a continuing challenge from 3 months or so ago. I'd love to have a partner, but we're pretty evenly matched. Doesn't that mean on the TV show, we'd be the first voted off? :D I weighed in at 195.5 today and am looking for a whoosh. You're due for one, too - the 198.4 plateau can't last forever. Seriously, I'd love to have a partner in this challenge - it keeps me motivated. Otherwise it gets too easy to just stop posting, and then I slack off.

Can anyone let us know how this challenge works?

Oh - and thanks to the runners out there for their tips. It's still too ugly to run outside here, but using your breathing tips, I can "run" on the elliptical for 5 minutes without passing out, and it's an all-out sprint! That's how I end my 30 minute programs on the elliptical now. :)

We started the challenge back in Jan...it was to go for 12 weeks. Others have joined mid-way, so I totally sure it's not a problem. Partners were optional, if you wanted extra support/accountability. (Pair up amongst yourselves and then have one person report the weights for your pair. My partner PM's me the morning of and then I post our weights.) Weigh ins are on Mondays. MortonPixie is keeping awesome stats for us. We've lost the equivalent of an average sized man...cool, huh!

JackiG 03-02-2010 11:10 AM

I would love to join in. Is that ok?

March 1st - 229.6

Josiegrl 03-02-2010 11:40 PM

Not all of us have partners, I think it is up to us really. I haven't had one from the get go. Depends on what you want really. I see new faces here and that is great! I think that on one of the other threads we have that we are deciding to pick up after the 12 weeks are over too. so this will be ongoing. (thank goodness) :)

AKAndi 03-05-2010 02:43 PM

Thank you ladies for your helpful thoughts. I appreciate the advice and positive outlook. My birthday was the 2nd and I was really wanting to have lost 10 from the beginning of the year and instead I actually lost then gained right back to original weight. I think I just need to prioritize my health and exercise. Take care of Mama first, you know! Just like on the plane when they say put your own air mask on first. It makes sense. I couldn't be of help if I don't make sure I am capable first...

BeachBreeze2010 03-05-2010 02:54 PM

I'm getting excited to post here on Monday with our big losses! Welcome to all the new ones joining! On Monday, post your weight and change for the week. I'm happy to see the group grow!

Let's have a great weekend, ladies!! Full of healthy food and exercise.

215.4/0/215.4

not bad considering I have (and still am) completely sick. I got one good day of exercise in before coming down with the fire in my lungs and throat. I hope everyone does well and has a great week.
