  • The last 2 days I've been religiously writing down what I eat. Watching portion sizes and doing a way better job at eating then I had in the weeks past. I expected to see a little drop in weight, something, anything this morning.

I've put on a pound. BUT my monthly time is starting this morning so I guess I can contribute it to that?

Its just frustrating but I know I'm doing a better job with eating. I'll just have to keep it up and wait for the scale about 5 days from now.

As a general rule I only like to weight once a week. Just getting started though and doing a really good job on eating I was hoping to validate myself with seeing a little weight drop this morning. Oh well!
  • I hear you! I always have water retention the few days before AF shows up, and usually go up a pound or so or else I don't lose. I love how the pounds come off after though!
  • Amber, that darn hag will do it everytime. Be patient!
  • UGH, the old hag invading on your weightloss. Well look at the bright side, the next time you weigh yourself, you'll loose all the hag's extra weight and be down the weight you were originally loosing.
  • Thanks ladies. I had a feeling that was what it was. Its just frustrating. I guess I needed the validation!
  • Don't worry, you will probably be way down next week. Sometimes, I can gain 3-5 lbs water weight from that lovely TOM. Keep you chin up, it'll all work out.
  • Same thing here. I can gain any where from 1-5 lbs usually a week before dreaded Aunt Flo comes to call. If I can avoid the temptations and cravings then I usually end up with a nice gain a week after.

Hang in there. It's frustrating but at least u don't have to suffer alone!
  • Happens to me too. I only go up 1-2 lbs. but I always hate seeing the numbers go up even if I know there is a good reason for it.
  • Hi Amber,

If it makes you feel better I can gain 3-5pounds during that time of the month! I found that hard as it is, staying the course with your diet will pay off later!

Don't get fustrated, it'll work out!

    Jenn

My best friend during that time is S/F Jell-O and S/F F/F Pudding.
  • Amber, Same here! I have weight gain plus a little acne...yeah, I thought that was supposed to end years ago! Since your eating well, that should pay off at the end of the week.
  • I feel ya! My unfriendly visitor is almost here and I'm having the worst time controlling myself. I broke down and ate GS Peanut Butter Cookies last night.
  • I love my hysterectomy! :evil grin: Sorry.....that was just mean, I guess. I remember well, though...it's been under two years since my surgery. I had stage 4 endometriosis (frozen pelvis) and adenomyosis, polycystic ovaries....I was in constant pain.....I lived in constant fear that someone would touch my stomach area.....it sent me thru the roof if anyone even touched it. Sooo glad all that stuff is OVER!
  • Gosh Diana that is horrible. My friend is 30 and just has one also. She told me all of her other treatment options would have rendered her infertile so just take it out. I don't blame her!
  • Yeah, I feel very fortunate to have two children, given the condition that my reproductive system was in. It's a miracle I was able to have children at all. I counted my blessings and told 'em the same thing....take it out!!! I had no idea that endo. could actually kill you, if left untreated. It can spread throughout your entire body! It was a no-brainer for me. I was done with all that stuff anyway.
  • I usually retain a couple pounds of water around that time of the month as well and by about day 4 of my cycle notice a pretty decent drop. They key is I have to persevere during that time and not use the temporarly gain or plateau as a reason to binge.
