Please, talk me off the ledge here...

I weigh myself on Fridays...

I have been staying the same weight for 3 weeks in a row now. 180 point something. I guess I have hit a plateau. I am being good about calories-- I try to limit to 1500 calories a day--sure, some days I don't do that, but overall, I am pretty good.

For the past 2 months or so, my gym routine is 5 days a week, 45 mins of the elliptical machine at a jog pace--about 3 miles-- and then 35 minutes on the bike at a fast pace.

A co-worker of mine says that this could be due to the fact that I need to switch up my workout routine. She says that sometimes your body just 'gets used' to the routine and then doesn't respond to that anymore. I am willing to try to switch it up, to see if that makes the scale go down.

I am so hugely disappointed. I want to look good in my wedding dress when I get married in September. I was doing pretty good up until recently. I have my period this week-- oh, that is ANOTHER thing-- ever since I started my weight loss regimine-- my period lasts for OVER a week-- it now starts off as next to nothing for 4-5 days, then its normal to heavy for ANOTHER 4 days-- so now its over a week long. It was also very hot here earlier in the week, so I suppose some of it could be due to water weight gain, I just don't know. I don't want to use that as an excuse.

any advice?

I really pitched a total fit this moring-- the worst ever having to do with this-- like a crying fit of frustration. My Fiance had to calm me down. He is a natually fit and thin person. I don't want to look horrible next to him in the photos. I have at least 20 lbs on him.

It may be that 1500 calories are too many to create the deficit that you need to keep having a weight loss each week. I'm not an expert, but I weigh more than you and I eat 1300, soon to be decreased again to 1200. Just a thought.

ok, I can try that. Thanks. I am willing to try anything here.

I weighed about 200 pounds at my wedding last summer, and my biggest fear about the wedding was that I would look or feel fat and not like a beautiful bride.
But I felt beautiful at my wedding. Everyone told me I looked beautiful.
You, too, will be a beautiful bride. You need to believe that. Beauty is not measured by the scale.
Enjoy these few months and try to not to stress about the weight too much. Enjoying your wedding is way more important than stressing about 5 or 10 pounds.

Stress in such a factor...... Relax !! your body can be holding on things because emotionally you are! Just a thought you are beautiful and I am sure that man of yours does not care he just wants you to be his wife!!! have fun sweetie "LET IT GO""

Yes! You are beautiful! And anyways. I think maybe you should do some new excercises, maybe a little extra! ( I know I know!) Maybe a walk during the day and then the gym too? Are you drinking water because you may be eating more salt than usual because of the heat and humidity. AND you are on your TOM so you have all that water weight.

Thanks everyone. I will try not to stress out about this so much. I know I really have been stressing about this. I will try to switch things up a bit and cut my calories a little bit. I hope I have better news next Friday...

I'm really emotional right now; its ridiculous.
