Morning all...well i guess my body told me it was tired...i really tried to get up early to go to the gym...but i couldn't...i was exhausted. Oh well, I feel my abs from yesterday's run...so i guess i got a good workout yesterday. We have some friends coming this weekend. Tomorrow, DH and i are going with our friends to a Mitty race...its a race with older cars, they have different division like 60's muscle cars etc. Its pretty cool...however, i'm not as big into cars as my hubby LMAO. Alright all...off for coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Looks like I missed your birthday Lisa....I'll spare you my singing "Happy Birthday." I've put ya'll thru that misery once this week already....I won't do it again! hehe Hope you had a GREAT day!!!!

I'm glad to announce that I've lost another couple lbs this week. (It's always so easy the first few weeks....cause it's mostly water!!!) My goal was 16 lbs by June 28th....I've got 9 more to go! WOO HOO!! I had a couple of slightly over-budget days this week, but yesterday was an excellent day and am hoping today will be too (so far so good). This is the first time, I think, in a very, VERY long time that we have been 2 weeks (this coming Sunday) without going out to an all you can eat buffet. Sad, huh?? We almost caved on Wednesday and went, but we were strong and didn't go. We grilled hamburgers at home instead. It was a GREAT feeling......just like we knew it would be! I've lost (in almost 2 weeks) 7 lbs!!! I know it'll slow down quite a bit, but I'm determined to get back to the weight I got down to right after my hysterectomy July 07!!

Okay, sorry to ramble...just excited! :) Gotta get back to work.....much to do, little time to get it done. Isn't that the way of life these days?? :lol:

Hey all...

Just finished the two communion cakes, need to deliver them tonight. doing laundry (when am i not??) and straightening up today. Looking forward to a margarita or a few beers tomorrw night with the Flyers game...want to have one tonight, but am trying to be REALLY good during the week & allow myself some junk on the weekend.
Frankie had a baseball game last night. He is such a good hitter, not an awesome fielder (the whole team has a problem with that). Another game tomorrow, then having my gf's friends sleep over tomorrow night. Then Sunday going to MIL's to celebrate Frankie's b-day...have to make another cake for that.

Okay, gotta go change loads of wash...hope everyone has a super Friday!!

Well its a down right nasty day here. I was gonna do my shopping after I picked up Lil Sis from preschool but it was pouring so bad we couldn't even see to get in the store. I decided I didn't need anything that bad yet. Well my plan yesterday didn't pan out. I did get my reading in last night after Lost, but I did laundry, dishes and p/u in the kids rooms, then I went out and worked in the yard for about 4 HOURS!!!! Still not even close to getting it where it needs to be and now of course rain will set me back a few days again. Blah! Blah! Blah!
So I didn't get my running or biking in. You guys are right though, I am getting a workout. DS signed his letter of intent yesterday after school with all the school officials present, it was pretty cool, I think he finally understands why we've been pushing him all these years to work hard.

Fergi, glad you're here. I think you will find tremendous support here and its much easier to make friends via internet than in person. Go for the kickboxing class, sounds like a fun way to work out some stress issues. We all get in a rut from time to time, take each day as it comes and let yesterday go.

Diana,You're gonna lose a lot more before June gets here at the rate you're going. Keep up the good work, you're so much more positive than you were a couple of weeks ago. AWESOME!

Pam, I just have to say that you must be the female equivalent of Superman. You know "The man of steel"? I don't think I could bake all those cakes and not be eating them. The smell of freshly baked cake is almost better than you know what. I said almost. OK, maybe it is.

luvmyfam, Hi, pop in now and again for your fix, we'll all still be here.

I heard from the Dr. yesterday evening, she said I have nodules (a lot of them) all over my thyroid, so they want me to see a specialist to determine if they need to be biopsied. I go on Tues. Won't know anything concrete for probably another week yet. Fill you guys in when I know though, still feel really sluggish, thats part of my problem getting things done. I used to be in overdrive 24/7, not so now. So... if anyone wants to offer a prayer on my behalf that this turns out to be nothing, I would certainly appreciate it. Have a fantastic Friday!

Bad news, dh just found out that his whole dept. is being outsourced as of 6/23. He'll find out more Monday. :(

Trish...prayed for you, and will continue to pray that you are okay. Not superwoman by any stretch, I get bored of the cake, believe it or not!!

Sheila, yup, you & Mo disappeared about the same time. Congrats on the loss!!

Lauren, YAY for you!!! I'll pray that DH is not affected by the outsourcing. I swear, they keep doing this, where will our kids work?? SOB's!!!

Off to grill some chicken. DH just went to buy a dryer. It was working okay, it's just been making lots of noise the past few weeks. It is about 9 years old. He tried to fix it (like he did the oven on Wed), wound up completely breaking it,and I have a load in the wash. Dunno why he couldn't just wait til I was done...oh, well. Anyway, I guess I'll have a new one tonight...

Trish, will def say a prayer for you. You're a superwoman, yourself! I swear anyone with more than 2 kids is a saint. I had a biopsy done on my neck a few years ago. It was really strange. I think they hung me (almost) upside down it a chair. The doc was strange too. Not painful at all though.

Pam, everything breaks at once, no? My DH usually trys to fix stuff too. Have a great weekend girlie!

Hey everyone else!

As for me, I planned on working on the hallway today, until i found out dh was working from home. I did get outside and clean the front gutters out though. There was about 2 inches of soil, among other stuff stuck up in there. I probably could have planted a lovely garden, seriously. I considered that my workout :) Oh and I tried getting up early to work out and I did get up, put on the tape...but I just couldn't do it, oh well.

Alicia, he's a records manager, but he does a lot of other stuff too...fixes the dictiphones when they break, takes pics of the attorneys, videotapes trials/conferences.

Pam, As far as we know, they're not getting rid of anyone, they'll all still be there, just be employed by an outside company. DH will be there 18 yr. in Sept., and a lot of the other people in that departments have also been there a really long time. They're probably all going to lose their seniority and be back to two weeks vacation.

Well everyone, we went out for supper tonight....I splurged somewhat. Had grilled chicken, baked potato and salad w/ranch dressing and some bread (they bring small loaves to your table...had a couple slices from a small loaf...no butter though) It wouldn't have been bad at all had I asked up front for a to go plate and put away half of my food. But I ate it all instead. All I'd had all day was a ham sandwich and a handful of ff chips. I WAS STARVING!! :( I've had a pretty good week though, so I'm chalking it up as a splurge that won't probably hurt me at all. I'll be extra careful tomorrow (and was yesterday, too).
