Default this is my last year to be a 30 something!

I will be 40 in Nov and I really want to finally get this 15-20 lbs off before the big day comes!!! I started the Extreme Fat Smash Diet on Monday and have lost 7 lbs. so I am officially 150. I would like to be max 140. My ultimate goal is 135. I weighed 130 once and I was a size 4, I'm shaped like an apple, it really doesn't look good on me. I'm hoping I can find the will to continue and not cheat here.

I workout and have for 5 years, 4 mornings a week I am up at 5:00 am. I participate in a bootcamp. we run about 2 miles then do resistance and weight training with bits of cardio. 1 of those mornings we run and do yoga. days 5 & 6 I hit the treadmill or run outside 30min to an hour. So working out is not my problem...I LOVE food! I've been good this week on the EFS. If I have cheated it has been an extra couple of mini rice cakes or an extra sugar free/fat free pudding with a tblsp on lite whip topping. But as I lose weight I tend to sabotage myself. I have this inner voice that convinces me that I have just a little. So I struggle daily. So I come to you for help. If I can't do this by Nov I am seriously considering lipo!! I have met with a couple of PS's and am educating myself. So hopefully you guys can keep me away from the knife!

Hi!
Just wanted to say welcome. I am like you in that this my last few months of being 30something! I will be 40 in June. It still seems odd to say that. It will take some getting used to.
It sounds like you are doing great on the exercise front! Wow!! I cant really help with the diet since I am very overweight. What I have started doing recently is writing down what I eat so I can keep track of my calories and set my goals small so I dont get overwhelmed. Maybe for you a small goal could be just 2 pounds a month. It doesnt sound like a lot but by November it would mean you'd be down 20 pounds!
good luck to you and join in! we have a monthly goal/holiday goal. currently it is for valentines day.

HI and thanks so much for welcoming me. you are so right about the 2 lbs a month, at first it sound like so little but in the grand scheme of things it could definitely work. it really helps to feel like you fit in somewhere and can ask others for support and help. I have to admit I am a little surprised at the very weak reception I have received here, I was starting to think that maybe it is already time for me to move over to the 40+ group...I really do appreciate your kind words.
