Good evening all.... My, you all are busy typing while I busy at work all day, I feel leftout! heheheee. JK.
Lets see, Pam,... no matter where you move there may be a perv right next door! There is a search engine, hold on, let me look at the site... Found it, nsopr dot gov You can search the engine many ways... You can search your immediate area, or by the known name. I search there often. I am thankful my son is now 18 and 6'3.. he can take care of himself. A horse, outside all the time? NOt good! I have a friend who had Morgans... I tell you those horses were better cared for than I care for myself! hahahaha.. I mean, music nonstop, in their stall they had fresh hay, EVERY day, winter they had heat, summer they had fans... and yes, they had workouts three times a day, and allowed to graze most the day unless to hot or cold. Lets not mention the homemade meals!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about the sick kids.... Thats no fun, but kids are resiliant, and snap right out of it, usually! Glad the renovations are done, that has to be a sigh of relief to say the least! OK, as for me, last night I made a HUGE sin!!! I did something I KNEW I shouldn't of. I allowed my son to talk me into taking him up toward the mall (Borders) for a book he needed for homework, On an EMPTY stomache! And the only thing he would eat out is Chinese. So we ate at PF Changs... Delicious, but we ALL know how sinful that is!!!!!!!!!!! WE had a friend of his with us who had ordered a salad (I know, why didn't I) and I wanted some, but Dustin polished the entire thing, and let me tell you, there must of been, oh, six heads of lettuce in that dish! NOT exagerating! I had ordered a dish to share with my son. THATS THE ONLY REASON I didn't order the salad, It hought his friend would share! YIKES! was good today, with work anyway. I started a new job about a month ago, and wouldn't you know it, they have this nasty machine that calls my name all day long, a Cappucino machine, that's FREE. YIKES. :o I did work out today, but then I just had a small dish of ... OOPPSSS ice cream. :dizzy: HHMMM, and I wonder why I don't lose anything! sill me!:mad::devil: |
TJ~ I am making place mats and table runners for family. And hats for my nieces & nephews. Along with all the yummy goodies I have made already that are sitting in my fridge.
Lola~ Welcome, I am fairly new here too, and everyone is very friendly. |
Hello all,
Lauren, at your comment about the breastfeeding. I would not have thought about that. Joan, what do you think wild horses do? They don't have cover from any storms that come up. (And yes there is still wild horses) Alicia, now you can make it all nice and pretty for the new owners. Of course they would probably want to change things anyways. Good luck. :welcome3: to the newcomers! We are a friendly bunch ~ feel free to jump in. On my end ~ retail stinks! It seems like customers are not in the holiday spirit, and they are majorly grouchy. Next week (the week before Christmas), I have 45 hours. So I will try to check in, but don't be upset if I dont respond much. Lisa |
quick fly by today
lots of posts today..i will read in a little bit just wanted to let everyone know...i weighed yesterday...i lost 4.2 pounds...im so happy...i need to change my ticker... hope everyone is having a great day...i'll be back in just a little while |
Welcome Newbies!! We love having new people join in.
Lola ~ where in St. Louis are you? I live in Wildwood. Just moved here six months ago from Webster Groves. Talk about culture shock;-). BTW, love the "fat smasher" title ~ very cute. Christina ~ yeah!! Good for you Girl. Losing weight in the month of December is something to cheer about. Time to whip up some milkshakes for the kiddies, which I will be skipping. I'm only tempted by them during the summer months. Cheerio ~ Joan |
lorrainne - you'd be surpirsed..horse do quite well in the winter..now take it..i live in GA and not NJ so we dont' get nearly as cold...but my horse would rather run around the field in the cold than be in a barn any day of the week. I wish i could afford the fancy high end stables...but i cant...well truthfully..i've been to some of those...and they annoye me...most people there can be a bit stuck up and have too much money. Give me a pasture barn with laid back people that just want to spend time with their horses any day over the high end fancy barns...i'm just out of my element there. I do blanket my horse when it gets really cold..but that rarely happens
christian - congrats on the loss lisa - i hear you about the retail and lack of holiday cheer by the customers...remember i'm not really in retail...but sort of...so i'm dealing with it too..some days i think scrooge had it right...bah hum bug! night all |
I am new too... will have to get used to a new forum I guess. Love that there are SO many here to support and cheer one another along the way.
I have been working on my weight for almost 18 months now. I initially lost 50 lbs (as of July 07') and then had my thyroid go haywire on me and had to have surgery to have it removed in Sept 07'..... now here I am 3 months post surgery and struggling big time. I am wavering up about 10-15 lbs from the orig 50 I lost and am determined to get back down and then keep going. I have a long long road ahead and this setback has been huge. I just need to figure out what will work this time as my "old" way of doing it is not working. Glad to be on a new board, hope to make some new friends and help each other along the way. DarlaLOU |
Darla, welcome!
Christina...WOO HOO! Congrats girl! Pam... My friends barn was in her back yard! Too bad she became too ill to take care of the horse, she finally found her last three homes before she passed on. Her husband has since sold the place (had 24 acres of land) and built a new home for himself closer to work and his son. |
