Laurie, I want to be your kid. I'd so be trying to find ways to bust out every tooth I had.

Hi everyone!

SlimPossible 09-26-2007 04:54 PM

Hello!

GG
Thanks for the advise and freaking me out! LOL! No just in My I had a complete sinus catscan etc and complete ear checkp because in May I had sinus surery (as if having my thyroid removed in January wasn't enough!). I had my adenoids and tonsils out. Tonsils for the 2nd time as the left one came back! All went well but during that time I was diagnosed with eustation (spelling?) tube dysfunction! (My whole family has bad sinuses and ear problems!) My daughter has had the typical 4 year old cold that lasts two weeks and I got the cold from her and since things dont' drain properly it settled in my ear and there ya have it. I go to an AWESOME ENT/Cosmetic surgeom in Pasadena and he is the one who did my thyroid and sinuses. He said at this point in life, ear surgery to correct the eustacion tube dysfuntiojn is too risky as far as developing a hole in my eardrum etc etc. So I am one of those people who have to periodically do the "hold the nose and blow" thing to hear clearly (like if you were on a plane) lol.....

ughghghg is it 5:00 yet anywhere out there - not here yet!!!! :^:

John - dare ya - I'll mail ya 20.00 bucks to do it! Which tooth is going? LOL

Hi everyone!

Laurie you have been on my thoughts for days, I am so sorry you are have srep that stinks, I am glad you are feeling all the support from the group, you sure need it in difficult times like you are going thru, we are definetly here for you. I keep thinking you made the best decision for your family. You are a strong person, my hat goes of to you. Give your dh and ds lots of hugs and stay strong. How is Bella doing? I know you were worried about her.   My comment about the $20 per tooth I agree w/you I don’t think is to much, you are right there is not much you can do with $5. Congratulations on the 5 inch reduction!!!

Sheila how are things going for you?

Melinda where are you sweet muffin?

Lisa best of luck with the interview, I love that store! Good quality stuff!

GG I am so glad you are enjoying time w/DH. Sounds like you really moved to a great place were you can do lot s of different things outdoors. 

Alicia I am sorry about DH trying to find a job. I hope you don’t have to move! Is it good to have him home?

Lauren I never had poison ivy, sorry to hear DH go it, I heard it is very uncomfortable. Hope he gets rid of it soon

Kerry I am so happy for you to take time to go see your family, I hope it is a great weekend for you, you have been working really hard.

Joan it is great to have good in-laws.

Hi Realitymom! Did you do anything fun with the family?

Slim you should go see the Dr. I hope you feel better soon!

We are replacing the fence around the house and they took out the old fence, the house looks naked! LOL. I can’t believe it is actually being done it was a huge ordeal with the neighbors, and getting all 3 houses next to each other to agree on what to replace it with. I am not too happy, I wanted a white vinyl fence they look really nice and from what I understand they are very durable, more so than wood, but the neighbor 2 doors down didn’t want white, it is so F*(&% frustrating :yikes: oh well. We are replacing it with wood. So the little dudes are at my friends house since they can’t be in the backyard! I miss them.
I am not feeling well at all, I don’t know what is going on, but my entire body hurts, I called my OB/GYN since he is the last doctor I have seen, he did my hysterectomy and I am wondering if all this pains could be related to the hormone patch, I feel a lot of the same stuff I felt before the surgery, it is weird.
Yesterday I did get to the mall to get my face creams I was so upset when I got home one of the creams I was charged for was not in my bag,, I was not too happy, so I called the store fortunately I went to Nordstrom so they offered to bring it to my house and I accepted, I am not really in the mood to anywhere, the pain is horrible and the worst part is that it is not like is one thing that hurts but everything. DH called to check on me a few minutes ago and he said not to worry about dinner he will get us some food on the way home he has to stop by his parents house really quick so he may stop at my favorite deli and get us some matzo ball soup, he has been craving pastrami sandwiches.
I am going to go lay down, Sean will be back home in about an hour and I want to get some rest.

See you all later!

Hanna

lol at slim...ok that's good to know..and i wasn't trying to say you have a bad dr...i just always worry..there are some dr out there that will do that.

also mom's out there..what is this inflation tooth fairy business LMAO. Where the heck was this rich fairy when i was growing up. I was lucky if i got $0.25 LMAO. Man if i pull all my teeth out, will i get loaded LOL.

hannah- despite the carzy weekend work hours...i love our move. It really is great up here...i'm a biggggg outdoor person, so this is perfect. I really think this is what is helping me get my butt in gear to loose the wt. hope you feel better soon. hopefully it is just the hormones. btw...i would be in agreement with your neighbors. I preferr wood...and really after staining requires minimal upkeep. I've seen many of those vinyl fences start to sag after a while. But i guess i'm also a sort of purist...i preferr wood anyday to vinyl..however i know wood can be a pain in the rear.

well got quite a bit of work done around the house, almost have all of the laundry done and i even did 25 min of lower body pilates dvd and 15 min of free weights for upper body. So feeling good right about now.

Hanna ~ Your feeling ill doesn't sound good. Have you had a checkup since your hysterectomy? Your wonderful DH will take good care of you tonight.

Slim ~ it's no fun to be sick but it's especially yucky when you have to keep working:-(. Chin up.

Big John ~ forget about those foolish women from the past. As someone else said, you need to get healthy for YOU. I'd only had one serious relationship before meeting my husband. I was not interested in marriage but within a month of meeting Mike I knew that he was the one. He is such a great guy.

Alicia ~ I imagine you are exhausted these days as much is going on in your life. Thanks for the fingernail fairy info LOL. One never knows when this will come in handy around here... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all works out with DH.

Kerry ~ Enjoy your weekend with your family. You deserve a break.

I had such a good day today. I dropped my little one off at my MIL's and then hit a few stores that I hadn't been to in a long time. It is so weird to walk into a store looking for fall decorations and see xmas stuff all over the place. I love the holidays but I do not want to see Santa in September. I found a nice fall wreath for our front door. Next week I'll pick up some pumpkins. Time to check out everyone's back pack and see what homework needs to be done...

IrishJoan 09-26-2007 05:33 PM

Hey GG ~ we posted at the same time:-). I hear 'ya on the being more active part. I love all of the walking/biking paths around our new place. I've been more active since our move here than I've been in a very long time. I've slowed down a bit within the past few weeks due to the achiness that feel in my body (because of Accutane). Today the weather is perfect (70's) and I cannot wait to get out and get a walk in this evening.

laurie2275 09-26-2007 05:37 PM

Aww Hanna. Sooo sorry you are feeling so horrible. Get some rest. I so hope you feel better.
You know, I have had the same thing happen to be at Nordstrom (they had me come back though). Luckily we lived close to the mall then.

Thanks so much for thinking of me. So sweet. I sure needed it. (and still do)

mjoste 09-26-2007 06:26 PM

Hey All: I'm sorry...I'm here...but I'm just extremely depressed and have been so stressed out that I've been throwing up for an hour and now I think I burst some blood vessels in my head and my ear hurts like someone set off a cannon in it...not to mention the sore throat now! LOL I'll try to get back here when I can spread some joy. As it is I'm desperately sad. MO

IrishJoan 09-26-2007 06:30 PM

Oh Melinda honey, I would love to be there to give you a big hug right now... do you have a good friend that could come and be with you? Have you been to see a doctor? Antidepressant? Sorry for all of the questions but we all love you so much and hate to see our little apple dumpling smothered with whipped cream and a smidgen of cinnamon dusted on top... Joan

IrishJoan 09-26-2007 06:37 PM

Oops... sorry mean to end that with "so sad." Trying to do too many things as once. I'm in the middle of fixing dinner but was walking thru the room and stopped to check the computer to see if Jr.'s teacher had answered my e-mail from earlier today. I saw Melinda's post and I had to reply asap... So, because I messed that one up, I guess I'll have to try again... how about, we hate to see our very own sweet, dense, chocolately cheesecake topped with fresh raspberries and mint garnish. Nobody can do this like you!

GatorgalstuckinGA 09-26-2007 06:57 PM

mo - why so stressed?????? that sux. hang in there girl.

goddess - keep up the good work by staying away from the alcohol. How r u holding up with dh gone. hang in there. once your military benefits kick in...that will be nice

joan - sorry the acutane makes you achey...but i'm glad you are still trying to get work outs in. It really does help to have a place where you enjoy working out now huh? it even makes me motivated to do indoor workouts (ie toning and wt training). But this move is definately the kick that i needed. I love living here.

LBH 09-26-2007 07:02 PM

MO!! What's the matter hon? Lean on us. Hope things get better for you.

GG, ya' know, I never even got money from the tooth fairy!! :tantrum: I'll have to ask my mom...I really don't recall getting anything when I lost a tooth!

lppennington 09-26-2007 07:40 PM

Joan, we started putting up Christmas the day after Labor Day. And it had to be done in a week :freak:

Interview went well I thought ~ they will make the decision by Oct 16th, or hopefully sooner. We will see.

Have to go fix dinner for myself now.

Oh to whoever asked, like Alan Jackson sings ~ "It's 5 o'clock somewhere"

Lisa

You know something's bad when it gets even ME to post so late at night.

Melinda, beautiful, keep your chin up. I know how you're feeling - I get in these :p blah :p moods myself and go find my rock and hide under it. And I stay there, feeling :( sad :( or  mad  or whatever. Sometimes for a very long time. But EVENTUALLY I realize that it's not all that bad; that it could really be a whole lot worse, and then I start to have the happy thoughts.

We're all here for you - from peeps the west coast to the peeps east coast and especially people, like me, from the Great White North. You're always such a ray of sunshine and always make me smile. You're super awesome and should never forget it. Never.

So, I'm off to bed now. Might even post something in the morning.

 to all the others 'cause you're all so super.
