Wow, You sound alot like me!! I've been doing the South Beach diet. It has really worked for me, both now and in the past. It was written by a cardiologist for his heart patients so it may be a good fit for you as well. On SB you don't count carbs per se, you just focus on eating "good" carbs and "good fats". So,for me, while it is lower in fat and carbs, I like it because I don't have to sit and count (I've never been that discliplined!) I also would never have time/energy to go to WW or meetings like that, so again, I like that this is something you can do with "regular" food and no meetings...I would really recommend checking out the SB thread in this forum and maybe even checking out the South Beach web site or book. For me, it has been great!
