Was this time losing your highest weight??

Not really sure how to title it, but I hope it made sense! :) My starting weight in my profile shows 268, because that is what I was when I started coming back to this site. My highest weight ever (and I wasnt even pregnant!!) was 313. That was January 2001. I was in a miserable marriage and used food as always to make things better for me. After my ex and I split up I lost weight. Actually got down to 225 (about 90 pounds!!) I met my current husband. I got pregnant and now she is 2. So, anyway I am halfway from where I was at my highest to my recent lowest. I guess what I wanted to say is, it looks like I weigh a lot but it was a lot worse before. Sometimes that makes me proud that I didnt gain it all back and sometimes I think it's a crutch. ("Your big but not as bad as you used to be")
Does that make any sense??
anybody else have something similar? Maybe you've been bigger before than what you were when you started losing weight this time? Anyone else have a highest weight not being pregnant?? just curious I guess, thanks for letting me share this!

I started this journey (this time) at 234 lbs. My highest ever was 237 lbs. When I weighed 237, I went on Phen/Fen and lost down to about 150 lbs. (that was 13 yrs. ago and I gained all but 3 lbs. of it back over the yrs.)

My lowest adult wt. is about 141 which was where I was about 4 months ago. I try to stay at 142-147 for my goal range.

You did a good job at keeping more of yours off. WTG.

Hi Lilybelle!
I did Phenfen too! I know I lost quite a bit with that and was never hungry! I have been up and down numerous times. Too many to count almost. 313 was my all time highest and my lowest adult weight was 175. It has been 15 years since I have been that weight. It almost seems impossible to get there but I am gonna do it for my health-40 is only over a year away! :o

Anyway, thanks for the kind words of encouragement!!
we can do it!

My highest adult weight was right around 200 which is quite a bit when you consider that I'm under 5' tall. I lost down to 165 right before my wedding by doing Atkins. Went on my honeymoon and off my diet and never made it back. Since then I got back up to about 185 and now I'm excercising and eating better and trying to use portion control and am back to about 175. I have never in my adult life ( acutally probably not since I was about 6 years old) been a healthy weight. 110-120 is considered healthy for my height so my goal weight is 115. I don't know if I'll ever see it but since being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and having a baby, I have more motivation than ever.

Loganandivysmom- thank you for your words. i would love to be able to share how i did it, but since i have an eating disorder, it's best for all if i do not since it was unhealthy. Trying to find a better way this time.

On my way to goal 06-13-2007 02:10 PM

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the site and am so thankful that I found you guys! I just turned 30this year and am trying to get back on my weight loss track. My highest weight was 220 (I'm 5'2"). That was 4 years ago. I joined Weight Watchers and lost 50 pounds. My lowest weight in the last 4 years was 163. I got married two years ago and was around 165. I have had a hard time taking the weight off since then. I am up to 183 right now. I never realized how hard it would be to lose the weight once I was married! Can't come home and have a salad and lean cuisine for dinner anymore! :) My goal is 145. For my height that is still a bit high, but I figure I will take it one goal at a time!

Okay...let's see....my highest weight is on my ticker...I weighed that in January of 2006 and that's when I first joined this site. My lowest Adult weight would have to be after I had my first daughter I was 125. I wore a size 9 junior at that time. But as I got older and especially as I had more kids and stayed at home for about a year with each of them, i started putting on the weight. I would love to see 125 again but I am definately aiming for 130.

My highest adult weight was 284. That's what motivated me to really get serious again! It's a real wake-up call when the numbers get that close to 300!

This a.m. I weighed 273.

My lowest adult weight was 208. I got down to that when I attended Weight Watchers meetings back in 2001-2002.

Thanks to everyone who shared their stories. It seems we are all in the same boat with just different starting weights/current weights, etc...
I think starting this thread has helped me realize it doesnt matter what I weighed 6 years ago at my all time highest. What matters is how much I weigh now. That other number is just ancient history!

My highest weight was 226 and that was May 23 of this year. That number on my new digital scale was like a slap and I immediately got serious about getting healthier NOW! Right now I'm still holding at 215...darn lack of self-control this past weekend!

My lowest adult weight was 145, but I was taking Ionamine and speeding my face off every day. I don't think a daily food intake of one pb&j sandwich and bottles of flat warm diet soda make for a very healthy body, regardless of how great I may have looked in a bathing suit at the time.

I stayed around 165 for many years and then gained to 200, started Slim-Fast and was down around 160 but lack of exercise and extremely poor food choices got me back up to 226 two and a half years later. It's true what they say about "if you don't change your lifestyle long-term then you end up putting on the weight again plus some." or at least it was true for me.

Cheers, Tamara
