Default How many pounds on average do people loose a month???

The center told me a 3-5 pound loss per week...is this right. I have noticed that many of the people on this diet are not doing that. I know it is tough but is it really realistic that you can loose the 3-5 per week???:

It's 3-5 lbs a week on average, not really each week. A lot of people here are actually losing that each week, though. I'm not. I'm at .5 a week and 2.7 on average because I had major weight loss in the beginning.

I keep a running spreadsheet of my avgs etc. and I'm down to 2.3/week. Nothing like what they said, however it's still about 1.3 more lbs than I was losing on Weight Watchers, and about 3 lbs a week more than I was losing per week doing nothing! However, my avgs have dropped over time. Early on I was rockin' it. I think that's pretty normal though.

before i got sidetracked with personal issues, i was hitting an average of 3 pounds per month. now i'm pretty sure that's been driven to the dirt, but i'm not too upset about it.

I only lose 1# a week. Wish I could lose 3, but I weigh in twice a week and it only is .5# each weigh in
Did the Medi Quick this week, still only .5 #

Stayed OP the whole time. I'm still gonna hang in their, a little scared
to think about Thanksgiving.

I've stayed OP 100% and have lost about 3# a week or so. I started August 1 with preconditioning (which I don't really count as being OP.) I have lost 37 pounds in 3 months. There are weeks when I've losy nothing and then there are weeks when I lost more. Some weeks I am discouraged but push on hoping that the next week will be better. I think it also depends on how much you have to lose and how close to your "ideal" body weight you are.

It may sound funny, but I believe individual weight loss is also affected by where your weight has been. Example. I've been trying to get below 170 for a couple weeks now and no matter how OP I stay it just wont go. It may seem funny but I think that's just my body's natural response since I haven't been below 170 in sooooo many years it's not even funny. You just have to keep on truckin' and eventually that mark will be knocked out of the ball park. Which is where the big weight loss comes in that helps keep your weekly average up.

It also depends on how much weight you have to lose. I used to easily lose 3 lbs a week when i was on MRC before, so about 10-15 lbs a month and I anticipate those same numbers now. But...I've got ALOT of weight to lose, so its gonna come off and for me on MRC, it comes off quick and in big chunks. I stay OP 99% of the time because it works for me. My first time on MRC, I lost 90lbs in 9 months (which put me almost halfway to my goal...told ya I have alot to lose).

Everyone gets different results and its hard to guess how it will work for who, but it does work. Stick with it, don't let the small weeks get you down...they'll balance out and if they don't...talk about why. Figure out whats holding you back. It might be a food choice or something you didn't even know was off plan... Have faith...you can do it

The first month I was down 5-6 pounds a week. That has slowly decreased and my average now is 2.9 pounds. Don't fret and worry if you numbers are not like others. Everyone losses at different rates. Stick to the plan and you will succeed!

Some weeks I don't lose any and others 3 pds. This month has been hardly anything. I will WI tomorrow and hope that changes.

I have been on plan 24 weeks and lost 68 pounds. That equals to 2.83 pounds a week.

Started MRC 5/9/09

I was losing 6 pounds a week at first, then it dropped to 5 and now it is about 3.5 or so.. So you can lose quite a bit if you follow the program. There are variables though and each person loses at their own pace..

At exactly 3 weeks OP, I had lost 11.5 pounds, which averages almost 4 pounds a week. Just stay OP and you will lose. It takes alot of dedication, but keep thinking about how good you will feel about yourself when you get to your goal.

I'm different. I lose about 1 pound a week now; Sometimes none and sometimes 1/2. I have 10 pounds to go and it is really slow. I lost 19.5 and can't get to 20, and I stay OP and exercise a lot. I'm not complaining because I am happy to lose even if it is slow. I just don't want anyone to be discouraged if you don't lose 3 - 5 pounds a week as they say you will when you sign up.
