I find that journaling helps me and that I can get menu ideas from seeing what other people eat during the day too.

Today so far:

Breakfast:
coffee
quaker oatmeal

Lunch: I have a thermos of beef noodle soup for lunch, a yougurt and an apple.

Dinner:
steak with Calda sauce
broccoli and cauliflower
1 can of Fresca

Hi Mauvais, I seem to be following you around this board! I love all the new threads you have started.

Breakfast: Fiber One, skim milk, coffee.

Lunch: salad and a Boca burger I think. And an apple.

Dinner: more salad and an Lean Cuisine or some chicken or some minestrone.

Evening snack, which I call the PMS in my food journal (since it is a P.M. Snack, and since I seem to have my PMS cravings most evenings no matter WHAT time of the month it is! LOL) - 2 diet Fudgsicles. Maybe a mint stick or two, thank goodness they are almost gone!

Lidian...I love your P.M.S.! May I borrow that and use it for my journals too? It's so cute!

Monday December 9/02

Breakfast---Veggie and Cheese Omlette made with two eggs, leftover cauliflower and broccoli, onions and mushrooms with some grated low-fat marble cheese, 2 slices of wonder white bread sprayed with butter spray, 2 decaf green teas

Lunch--I'm going to have a Spinach and Chicken Salad with Balsamic Vinegar, mushrooms, cucumbers, and grape tomatoes.

Dinner--We are going shopping tonight in Brantford so will be eating at a restaurant. A promise to myself, and you all as a witness, I will make good food choices for dinner!

Ate at Montana's tonight. I had the Chicken Wrap with a side order of veggies and a water!

PMS--2 Tomato and Basil Rice Cakes with low-fat marble cheese

Well I am up a few pounds. Big Surprise.

Just for today I will give you what has been a typical day lately..

Breakfast - Tea w/milk & sugar, 2 egg whites & english muffin w/light butter

3 Ginger Snaps (it's cookie/dessert week at work)
1 piece of angel food cake w/pineapple
2 Chinese Coconut thin crackers
1 mini orange sour candy cane

1 orange

Lunch - who knows. At least the fruit, granola & yogurt parfait. Maybe a hamburger or what ever else I can find in the cafeteria

~Ended up eating a sub from Subway - not too bad. And the fruit & yogurt. And a few more cookies.

Dinner - Probably left over pizza & wings

~Ened up with a plate of left over hash browns, yummy but greasy. Also ate a few chocolate covered pretzels while making them.

I want ice cream cake too. ~didn't eat any but only because it is too frozen to cut and I dont want to wait the 20 minutes to thaw it.

And I know I am not done eating cookies yet either - I have peanut butter blossoms and fig cookies at my desk too.

Chinese coconut crackers - yum! I love little CHinese cookies and crackers. In January for Chinese New Year you can get peanuts coated with white or pink sugar shells - I used to get lots of them!

Actually anything with coconut is fine with me - jelly beans, chocolates, macaroons.

I love your quote, Squeaker. Who is TTH?

OI812, thanks! I'm honored that you would like to use the PMS thing. I really DO have PMS this week, by the way! That is my excuse for the Ovation mint sticks I see in my future!

Thanks Lidian!

TTH is The Tragically Hip. It is from a song called Bring it All Back.

BRING IT ALL BACK
I'd been carving you
To see what form you'd take
You were hiding in ivory
I just wanted to free your shape

Bringing me down, it's too quiet to breath
Who wants to hear their heart beat?

It's gotta be here
In your spider-web alphabets
Did I read it all wrong?
Have I just not gotten it yet?

You got what you want. You wanted release.
Can you be appeased? Can you bring it all back to me?
Bring it all back to me.

Bringing me down, the obvious turns out to be true
All that I couldn't see, how it was turning me on
I don't want to pare you down
No, I don't want to wear you down
I don't want any more than what's there
No, I don't want to pare you down

Well you got what you want. You wanted release.
Can you be appeased? Can you bring it all back to me?
Just bring Just bring it all back to me

It's all that I want
It's all that I need
It's all that I want

Bring it all back to me
Bring it, give it, bring it

Squeaker, thank you for the full lyrics - they are terrific. I will definitely give TTH a listen; I have heard great things about them for years, and you have inspired me!

After an absolutely abysmal morning, food-wise, (which included the consumption of Hershey's miniatures and macaroons) I have pulled it together and just had a fantastic, low carb, yummy lunch...

2 deviled eggs (4 halves) made w/ ff mayo
baby carrots
celery sticks
V8 juice with horseradish...(I was pretending it was a Bloody Mary)

I feel much better...my body was craving vegetables.

I love being able to share things with everyone. I have been writing everything i eat for the past 3 weeks now and find it a great way to stop myself from putting crap in my mouth.

Breakfast - 1/2C WW Cereal with Fat free soy
mid morning snack - 6 small vitawheats with vegemite
Lunch - left over pasta with red sauce (i only ate half!!)
a fruit juice
Dinner - stir fried vegies (i use about a tbsp olive oil for a huge wok full of vegies and a 2 egg omlette.
I also indulged in a glass of red wine and a piece of watermelon.

I had just short of 5 litres of water to drink and worked out at the gym for just over 1 hour.

Hi y'all.

I've been keeping my food journal every day since recommitting to WW on 11/29. You can see what I ate today (and every other day, LOL) if you click on the "journal" icon below my name/avatar.

I find that it really helps with accountability. I'm noticing more and more when my fiance just wanders into the kitchen and mindlessly grabs a handful of Doritos, or a swig of milk, or a piece of cheese. I want to say something (he needs to lose 50 pounds)
but I don't want to sound "preachy" -- so I usually just raise my eyebrow.

S.

AROUND 9:16pm, Left Coast Time: Well, I WAS able to see Journal icons before, but I can't any longer??? The fonts on the forum are all big and it's not my screen resolution (I checked).
Wonder if they are doing some work on it? Hmmmmm ...

What a terrible day yesterday...

No breakfast
Went to the Y... worked off 500 calories
Went Christmas shopping...
No lunch
Ate a bag of yucky no-fat fruit chews in the car on the way home
Was starving when I got home.
Ate 4 pieces of toast
Then a piece of pizza
Then most of a 300 gram bag of Doritos
2 glasses of black pop

Queasy.

Today will be a great day. haha.
