Has anyone tried these so-called Miracle Noodles? I remember my son talking about them about two years ago. I went to the site and ordered some; you have to buy 10 packs so I hope I like them. Anyway, they have zero calories. I don't think they have much taste, but take on the taste of the food they are put in, kind of like spaghetti. I'm picturing myself eating a huge bowl of this stuff with a low calorie sauce for hardly any calories and no carbs. I know I probably won't enjoy them every day, but once in a while it seems like they could help me cut my total calories. I looked them up because I'm planning to make a stir fry and wanted something in place of the chinese noodles. I hope this isn't a case of if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. http://www.miraclenoodle.com/miracle...-products.html
These are like those Shirataki Noodles that HungryGirl.com Lisa Lillien raves about. I tried the Shirataki Noodles and they were too mushy/soggy. I bought mine at Whole Foods. When you get yours rinse them out in a colander for a minute or so. Let us know how these taste!
Goodness, zero calorie noodles Well I'm certainly interested to hear how they taste! Hopefully they won't taste like other zero calorie things we could consume (eg paper, glue, etc ) My fingers are crossed

I credit thighs be gone with this awesome food announcement. (see old food posts) I finally found them at whole foods and had the angel hair and spagetti shaped ones. They were good but I could see how someone might not be into them. They absolutely grow on you though. This week I had the fettuchine shaped ones and I am in love.
They are total keepers in my book.
came back to add that lots of rinsing is critial and the way I heat them is to stick them in the microwave.

I had the Shirataki noodles and didn't like them. Odd texture and fishy smell IMO. I prefer to take a peeled zucchini and make "noodles" by making long thin strips (like fettucine) with a vegetable peeler, steaming lightly. They taste delicious to me, are good for you and have pretty close to zero calories.
Razorcandy~
I use chopped (tiny cibes) steamed zucchini in the same way... filler in chili, omelets, soups, sloppy joes, stroganoff...
They arrive in a couple of days so I'm thinking I won't expect them to taste like and have the consistency of regular noodles. I'll just try to take them on their own. It would be great to have something to eat when I want to EAT that has no calories.

Thank you for that credit! That makes me feel good you remembered. I am with you. I love them. It takes a little bit of experimenting but YEP, they are KEEPERS. I have them a couple of times a week. I have made lasagna with them, fettucine alfredo and all sorts of things. After rinsing them extremely well you can even boil them a couple of minutes. I also LOVE using them to make Vietnamese Spring Rolls.
I've never heard of either of these, but now next time I am in reach of a Whole Foods I am going to try them!
**Edit to add - they are gluten free too!!! That means I could make them for me and hubby!! They can't be any worse than some of the Gluten Free noodles we've had!
