Confession time!
Alright, I was living a lie! I had gained 6 pounds, just never changed my ticker, and it's time to admit I had that gain. Especially since I want to celebrate the loss of those 6 pounds... I first have to accept that it happened! So this is me admitting that I HAD gained 6 pounds and moving forward, not dwelling!
And with that, I'm going to celebrate that I lost 2 of those 6 pounds!
Well.. I think thats all from me!

I know how hard it is putting that ticker number up instead of down. I'm proud of you for doing so. Congratz on the two pound loss.

Sounds like you are back on track, and that is all that matters. We can't dwell in the past... move on and be proud of yourself

I have had to move my ticker up as well as down.
I think we all do! Don't worry about it...just keep going. The Bible says in Philippians 3:13"NIVŠ Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead."
So forget about it and let it go...just keep on going. You will do great! And congrats on getting it back off.

Hey, good for you, Swim Girl! I have said elsewhere that posts like yours really talk to me, the ones where someone has slipped up but just gets right back on program. It's easy to do what you are supposed to when everything is working well. The test comes when you hit a snag. I would say you are passing the test with flying colors. Good work!

Ah, now I'm feeling kind of guilty.... I added my vacation gain onto my ticker, but I didn't take away the blinking flower for my 1st 10 lbs ;-)
Keep on chugging - you'll make it!

Ok. I have to say that I really needed to read these. I did something really stupid several weeks back and tried to restrict my diet too much (I'm talking about 700 calories a day). I made it 1 week and after multiple sugar crashes and no energy I stopped. I went in the opposite direction and started what has been about a 4 week binge! I haven't cooked a meal for myself since September! I feel guilty and gross (junked-up). Does anyone else have this experience-of feeling lethargic and gross after fast-food spurts? I've been so afraid to see the damage I've done-although I can see the weight gain (especially in my face).
So, I finally got back on the scale this morning and I've definitely gained back about 8 pounds (could have been much worse all things considered). Now I'm trying to let go of the guilt and move forward. I'm starting back with no momentum :0(
I guess my most important lesson should be not to over-restrict, as the binge behavior is a direct result of too much restriction. Too little is just as bad as too much...So, here's to starting again-again.
I updated my tracker too. Sigh.

rsb0004 I know what you mean when you say you feel "junked-up." I always feel terrible after eating badly/too much. Just know that its over - you don't have to eat like that anymore. Take control, and take each decision one at a time. That's how I make through each day.. you'll still have those times when you're tempted to binge, but in those times, try to remember how you feel now, and of course come here . Good luck!!
congrats on confessing swimgirl and you've already almost lost it! Woohooo!

rsb - I find that fast food makes me lazy all around too, I do less cleaning, laundry and just other stuff when I'm eating terribly. I hate that, but sometimes it does feel good NOT to do all the cooking! 8 pounds is nothing, you'll have it off in no time As for the no momentum - baby steps! I have to say I keep a list in my wallet of "safe" things at Mc D's for those late nights that the bf stops there and I'm just toooo tired to cook for myself but still need to eat. Having nothing off limits sure worked for me for the first while. And veggies! I hope you get the momentum you need! i have to say 700 calories in a day might kill me... 1600 feels hard some days! I can't imagine less!
bcort - I wouldn't take the flower away either! You still did lose those 10 pounds! Congrats on adding the vacation it's both freeing and so depressing at the same time.
