Oh, I know! When I moved to South Africa, it took me like 6 months to stop feeling weak at the knees from the accent!
I'm a sucker for accents! I feel like it immediately increases a man's attractiveness by 10% (15% of he's Irish!)

Haha! I know the feeling! And I'm surrounded by men with accents here! maybe that's actually why I've stayed here this long (not to mention that I'm married to a local now )!

It's not just accents to me, but a lot of attraction for me is to the voice. The first time I heard my man's voice I melted, and then when he sang to me. *yum*. Accents do have an effect on me though. Any British Isles accent does it for me, but especially Welsh

Yup!
My first husband was Costa Rican, and a total hottie... My second husband was from Mexico... I would say that has a huge affect on me...

It depends on which accent for me. When my hubby goes all New York on me I turn into a Roxy puddle. Irish, Puerto Rican, Italian, Russian (mmmm), and lots of others definitely do it for me. There are also a few that are a complete turn off for me - English, a lot of French. More good than bad though.

I dated a guy born and raised in Dublin, for a year and a half. He played guitar and every word he said was sexy and romantic - but really he was just a complete jerk and now I HATE Irish accents! BLEGH!

You are so right! Great accents get some men a great deal of mileage outside of their homeland... I worked with a huge arrogant jerk from England who constantly had women falling all over him because of his voice. Any time other women in my company found out what department I worked in, the first question was always, "What's he like?" In his jerkier moments, I would remind myself that he would have just been one of many in the UK. It was his uniqueness that was attractive to my co-workers who didn't know what an a$$ he was.

I fell in love and married one! It's been nearly 10 years of us together, and I don't hear it to much now (because I'm so used to it) but when he's low pitched and throaty....god do I melt!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. My sister's think I'm nuts but accents make me melt like a vanilla ice cream cone on a hot August day.
When my ex was at 29 Palms, he always handed his phone around and some of the southern boys' voices had my heart racing. Another ex is Brazilian. He always thought I was making fun of him because I'd giggle when he'd talk.

Noooo.... me too! Seriously.... ugh!
My BF always makes fun of me cos I'll get this melty, giggly voice when he says certain things! It kinda sucks sometimes when we're fighting, cos it gets him out of trouble and he knows it!
