Default Starting Over (with Pictures)

Okay, I joined WW last week and did nothing (but eat too much, that is ), which is not the plan. I'm embarrassed but I have my meeting tomorrow, so I'm going to go in, brush my disappointment off, and get my booty in gear so I can drop this weight. I had to go buy new shoes today because I already wore out my work athletic shoes to the point where they blistered my feet, and I know a big part of that wear and tear is due to carrying around an extra 100 lbs. I'm at my lifetime high weight, and need to just stop it! To that end, I'm posting "start" pictures here and intend to follow up monthly, so I'll have a visual progression and some accountability. This isn't easy for me, because I am REALLY not confident in how I look right now, if you know what I mean.

I will do this. I will get this weight off.

Here are the pics of me from this past week. This is the first time I've tried posting an image, so bear with me if they don't show up! lol

Starting weight October, 2009: 245 lbs, height 5'4"

Welcome.

You can do it.

I'm a lifetime WW member, although I took the summer off. Bad plan.

Drug out my books and everything tonight, rereading everything and working on tomorrows menu.

Good for you for being not only brave enough to take pictuers, but to post them. You will be so very happy when you've lost some weight and you will be able to compare your new look with your starting look. It's something that I dearly wish I had done, so I congratulate you on starting this process out with some pictures!

You can do this!

I was a little nervous about posting pics, because you lose a little of the anonymity of the internet when you put a pic out there. I thought for a moment, "What if someone who knows me sees me???" Well, if they know me, they already know what I look like, so what are they going to discover, that I'm committed to losing weight? Okay. I can accept that.

Thanks for the support everyone!

Well, I went and faced the music and....stayed exactly the same. Given that I was sure I gained, I'm okay with that. I'll take that as a "do over" this week!

make sure you keep a high-protein, low-carb diet.

Once we lose some initial pounds of fat, your body will be lighter and capable of performing better and hence we can move on to some exercises which will initially take your breath away (literally) and then keep progressing it by a more and more difficult routine.

I suggest you look into pranayama for weight loss, also acupuncture initially. do whatever it takes to give the 'INITIAL KICKSTART'

So I am giving you a 16 month deadline to loose 135 pounds. WHILE MINIMIZING MUSCLE LOSS. we need to make use of some of the muscle made while stocking up all that fat, dont we?
I'm sorry, I used none of these and have lost almost 150 pounds in a year and a half. So to say someone needs them is inaccurate. To say it is your opinion would be better fitting..or in my opinion anyway
