It could also partly be due to what you ate. I definitely notice a difference in my workouts, usually for the worse, on the days that I don't eat on plan. If I've eaten particularly poorly, I'll sometimes feel a little sick.
But I agree with ddc--next time schedule the massage for after the workout. It's a great to have a massage after you work out; it will help with soreness. And, by working out shortly after your massage, all your muscles are going to tense right back up again and you lose some of the benefits of the massage. I try to stay as relaxed as possible, for as long as possible, after I get a massage.
