Default Biodegradable Garbage Bags

Has anyone tried these?? I've been wanting them for a very long time, but didn't know if they actually existed yet, and only found them this afternoon and I'm so excited to try them out. It just makes so much sense to have recyclable garbage bags, considering how many each household goes through annually!!!

Well anyway - the ones I found were around 4 dollars for 12 of them (which I know, is NOT cheap, But we got them from our pricey organicy food store, and everything in Alaska is MUCH more expensive so maybe they're cheaper in the lower-48). They're 13 gallon bags from a company called Perf. They claim to completely degrade within 2 years, which I think is fantastic - as long as they don't degrade in my trash bin! Dear BF took the trash out early this morning, so we already have a fresh bag in the bin, but the next one will definitely be this kind.

I just thought it was really great, and wanted to share the concept and see if anyone has heard of them

I've liked the idea, but zowie, that's expensive.

Our school district uses the biodegradable garbage bags. I haven't seen them for sale anywhere though.

Haven't tried the kitchen trash bags yet IGLOOGIRL but the poop bags we have for our dogs are biodegradable.

And trust me...with my two golden retrievers...we use a lot of bags!

I've looked for them in my usual grocery stores and haven't seen them yet. I'd be willing to go out of my way to get them, but I'm not gonna drive all around the city to check every store. I'm sure they sell them somewhere in a hippie town like mine.

Right now I'm using what seemed like the best option at the store - they're made of recycled shopping bags, which are collected by schools to raise money. Not bad. And they're drawstring, which I like.

According to the website for Perf, the ones I bought, they sell them at Walgreens. I'd be really interested in finding alternate brands to try as well, if they have any competition out there.
