Default Plateau-HELP!

Okay, I need some help. Everytime I try to lose weight on my own I hit the 8lb mark and stay there...forever! I was at the 9lb mark but keep gaining an ounce or two a day....not losing! I have been 100% on plan all week since I got back from my trip. I know that I will eventually break thru...at least that's what everyone says but this is my second week on the plan and it's so scary. I have a big weekend ahead...2 dinners and a wedding. I am so scared that this is going to psychologically kill me that I will sabatog myself this weekend.
Can anyone give me some advice on how they broke thru their plateau's..what works?

You could try upping your workouts (like if you do half an hour a day try 45 minutes instead).

Default Plateau

It will break! Sometimes they can last for up to 2 wks! Hang in there. When I lost my weight on MRC. I lost in a pattern. Lost one week, gained the next, etc.

Up your water intake. As far as the weddings go the first few weeks were the hardest for me to handle the outside events. There will most likely be things that are in fact on plan so try to stick to it but if you slip a little hang in there. As the weeks go buy you will find that this plan is more normal than the old ways and the outside events easier to handle. I try to tell myself I am at these events to celebrate whatever event it is and not to eat. It has helped me.

Keep it up. You WILL lose the pounds.

plateaus suck! just ride it out... repeat after me.. "this too shall pass"!
it seems my body's in a cycle of losing a few lbs, then staying there for 3-5 weeks. then I remind myself it's not a race (even though I want to get there asap!). also if it takes longer, it's more practice for knowing how to eat & exercise for "real life". that's what I tell myself anyway.

what's funny is that the few times I took my foot off the gas a few times, as in didn't try as hard, distracted by other stuff etc, I found a slight weight loss... don't know why. our bodies acclimate and sometimes it's good to change things up, especially when the scale is stuck!
don't give up, you're kickin butt!

i maintained this week, and i actually feel good about it. i think i'm in a combination of a plateau and also retaining a little from friday indiscretions. BACK ON BOARD, though!! next week's weigh-in is gonna be EPIC.

I got was able to break through by adding an HNS between meals, might be worth a shot. Just stay on program, you'll get through it.

I thought I was stalled, but I lost 2 1/2 lbs in 6 days! I was so worried that I wouldn't lose, and then want to give up!
