Post I have a question (exercise; muscle pain; lactic acid)

I just started working out and i know all about lactic acid and sore muscles, my question is, how many times do i have to work out until the pain stops or until i can handle the pain? is it something that will happen every time i work out or what?

Thanks for your feedback!

i only WISH it was somethign that continued to happen (thats when you KNOW you got a really good workout!!) No, it wont continue.....it might happen the next couple times you work whatever particular muscle group became so sore, but after that...unless you break from you routine and dont work muscles for a while, or you totally shock them by working them REALLY DIFFERENTLY, then the soreness will start to taper off rather quickly...... BTW, it is microscopic muscle tears that cause the soreness.... Lactic Acid is a waste by-product of the muscles using glycogen for energy...when you are weight training, that really stiff, full feeling your muscles get DURING the workout is the lactic acid.... LA doesnt make you sore
