Last week, my gym was closed for renovations.... I did pretty well walking instead, but it kind of threw me off my rhythm. Then I had a few conflicts and couldn't go-- on my work days (two days a week) I can't squeeze it in because I work an eighteen hour day.
Tonight, I was really tired after working back to back shifts over the weekend, then this morning I had a migraine, which often happens to me after work.
I felt so tired I could barely move, but then it hit me-- it had been a whole week since I had exercised at all. Decided to go swim laps...got to the gym at 9 pm and got home around 10:15 feeling totally refreshed.
I STILL forget how going to gym always make me feel LESS tired.
I've been in an excercise slump too--though I did go for a walk with the hubby after supper. It felt good--and not just the walk--I like myself better when I'm doing what I ought.
that's a victory above all others - dragging your a$$ somewhere you don't want to be exactly, just to help yourself in the long run -- kudos!!!!
it's so funny how that works, the exercise thing I mean. If I miss walking, my back & hips start to act up a bit - but walk every day, no problems! who'da thunk???
I have been feeling the same way. I was going 4x a week for 2 hours....this week I am swamped with finals. So now I am down to 2x a week for 1 1/2 hours. I need to step it back up! I have been getting frustrated because the weight is coming off so slow
I am always so glad when I go to the gym, especially when I didn't feel like it in the first place. When I don't, I never think, "Gee, I'm glad I didn't go today."
