Default Online PDF writers - Need Advice, Please

I'm about ready to button up this grant proposal that has taken me months to do. Everything has to be in a PDF format. This computer (Vista) doesn't have a writer. Do you use any online writers?

The DOE has a link to some and I think I'll use one of them.

I'd like some advice and/or opinions, please.

TIA.

Maybe this is too simple and isn't what you need, but when I want to create a .pdf I

1. write the document in Word (or any other program)
2. I go to File>Print (as though I'm going to print the document)
3. My next screen has a choice to "save to .pdf format" which you can do instead of printing

I save photos like this, Word documents, whatever. I have a Mac, but I showed someone else how to do it in their Windows computer, and it worked for them too. Basically, you just go to the print screen, and instead of printing, you save to .pdf.

If your computer won't do this, just copy the document to another computer that will. Then transfer (email or jumpdrive) the document back to your computer.

Hope this helps.

Cute PDF Writer from CNet. After finishing the doc, you will print to CutePDFwriter and it will save it to wherever you want. then print or send.

If Vista and your word processing program has the print to PDF then that would be easiest.

Thanks everyone. I don't have a PDF writer on my system or I would have used it. I did download Cute PDF and Virtual PDF. Once I figured out that I had to tell the doc to NOT print in reverse order, things went swimmingly.

Thanks again.
