Default Just an Update....

38 days Post surgery and I'm down 23 lbs. I feel great and have now started water aerobics in my own pool. Does anyone know where we can find home water aerobic instructions/dvd's?

Congratulations in your achivement! I am no expert but I believe you just have to try and do some regular aerobics in the water... Put your radio and shake the buttie in the water LOL. A lot of streaching and slow starting and you will be rocking it in no time!

Congrats on your weight loss! I am not sure about water aerobics videos...have you used google or another search engine to look for them? I would think that if they exist, you should be able to find them on line.

Good luck on your continued weight loss journey.

I actually have an aqua belt. Came with the aqua shoes and weights I bought a few years ago. Now the real question is....Have I ever taken it out of the box?

Congratulation on such an awesome loss!!

Just a quick google and I found http://www.waterworkout.com/ for videos/gear/etc!

Back in college I was a water aerobics instructor at the local YMCA, to be honest, one of the best pieces of advice I have is really that it is just like regular aerobics... juts move in the water For beginner classes we would just walk across teh pool, do lunges while walking across the pool, etc. For the more advanced we'd go where you can touch and do water jogging while treading water.

Wow. This is awesome. I love water workouts. It is way cool you are doing it too!

I don't know about the DVD's. What I do is "run" back and forth across the shallow end of the pool. If I get tired I walk it for a while and then go back to the run pace.

Let me know how things are going and if you find your dvds.

Hey, another thought to I had was to put some music on and then put your GROOVE on! That would be soooo much fun!

Unfortunately, I use our community pool. LOL, I would have to have a couple of drinks before getting my groove on there.
