Food Coupons.
I got a coupon book in the mail, for a fast food restuarant that had some free food, if you purchased a meal. Of course since I hadn't been to this place in awhile, I thought I would use one of the coupons. So I had the meal with a drink and the free food item. The good news is the hamburger tasted yukky!
So maybe that will stop my wanting to eat fast food at this place.

oh that stinks! try and throw it out right away if it comes. one of the benefits of me being vegan is those coupons would be worthless to me fast food places, at least the ones here, don't have any meals that i could eat. lol

I get food coupons all the time for chik-fil-a, burger king, mcdonalds, pizza hut, etc. I never ate at at those places even when I wasn't trying to lose/maintain weight. Sometimes I'll ask my husband to take them to work and drop them on a table for someone else if they want to use them or I recycle.
I wish Chipotle would send me some coupons though although I don't think they are hurting for business.

I got some of those coupons too.
I stuck them on the fridge, what for I dunno. But I stuck them there. Maybe I'll send them to work with my hubby tomorrow. Good Idea.

Take some advice from this old chickie - pitch the coupons when they arrive. Shred them, burn them, give them away - WHATEVER works to get them out of your sight.
Seriously - they are NOT your friends. Penny wise - POUND foolish - very, very literally!

I do exactly what Nelie does. We always get McDonald, Burger King, chik-fil-a & some other coupons. In fact, we got some yesterday and I asked him to take it to work and give it to one of his coworker who eats at these places. It's been really hard for me trying to lose these lbs and I don't really want to add more and then have to lose them all over again. Throw the coupons away...eating that junk is not worth it.

I have to throw those away. They always have pictures on them and I just don't have enough willpower to have them around. Fortunately, there is a trashcan beside my mailbox so they don't even have to come in my apartment.

Just remember "the hamburger tasted yukky"! While those coupons may save $, they can be very expensive in terms of our health.

I get these in the mail too. I figure that I have to spend the money to get the free item, so it doesn't tempt me too much at the moment. Now if they had a coupon for something free with no purchase, that would be a different story.

Those are tempting to me, too, because I have an inner thrifty voice. But it helps for me to look at them and think "Hey, free pounds!"

Yep...there were a boatload of food/restaurant coupons in yesterday's mail. I went through and for some reason I held out the ones for BK. I don't know why, all of the other ones went right into the recycling. This morning, as I was making lunches, I saw those coupons on the counter and started kicking myself....today is garbage day, so out they went.

We don't eat at those places often... but those coupons do make it tempting! I try to toss them when they come. The hardest ones for me to throw out are for QuakerSteak.... I LOVE hot wings... sadly I have to make theirs off limits and satisfy my needs with homemade breast strips dipped in hot sauce.

I got the Burger King ones in the mail earlier in the week. My daughter and her friends took them so I'm in the clear.
