I know it has been asked before but how much flax is in the MRC flax pills? I want to get another brand from the Health food store but I want to make sure that I get the right one. Thanks

1000 mg. I just buy mine at Wal-Mart and it's been working just fine.

I think you need 8000 miligrams of oil a day.

From the bottle:

Per dosage (3 softgels)
Omega 3 - 1650mg
Omega 6 - 480 mg
Omega 9 - 640 mg

I initially made the mistake of comparing the Walmart/Walgreens brands to this dosage and thought.. wow, they were right they are higher, until the D'oH went off in my head and then realized that the other brands are showing their content per SINGLE dose. So... when you compare, look at it this way:

Single Pill
Omega 3 - 550 mg
Omega 6 - 160
Omega 9 - 213

You don't need exactly that amount, close enough will do!

at my center they said you should be taking at least 3000 mg/day up to 9000 mg/day. Does anyone know if the max helps with the weight loss?

i don't know that it helps max out your loss. i don't know for sure. i just take what they tell me to...6,000/day.
