Default Vegetables in Season Help

I'm not a vegetarian but I am trying to add more vegetables to my diet. What I have been looking for but cannot find is a book/publication that tells me what veggies are in season each month. I've looked in my local libraries and used book stores and can't find anything like that. Does anyone here have any suggestions for me?

Thanks.

it's different depending on where you are in the world - but an easy shortcut is to see what produce is the cheapest at the supermarket (and what's available at the farmer's market.) when they put the huge bins out and the price goes waaay down, that's in season!

Here's a site I found that shows what's in season in your area:

http://www.sustainabletable.org/shop/eatseasonal/

I checked it out it's really cool- the list is so massive for where I live

Thanks ladies. Not really close to any farmer's markets and nothing at the grocers is cheap. Actually at every store I go to produce is kinda crappy looking - maybe it's the Texas heat.

I'll play around with the site and see what I can find.

Thanks again.
