Talking Pardon me, I must toot my own horn.

Well, this really hasn't been a conscious goal of mine, but I've NEVER been able to do this in my WHOLE life, even when I was at my thinnest, and I did it today.

I ran my first mile! The WHOLE mile! Not like run for 5 minutes, walk for 5, run for 5. The ENTIRE thing. And I actually kept going and ran another quarter mile!!

My husband rode his bike along next to me and cheered me on the whole time. He kept giving me encouragement and telling me I could do it. That was the reason I made it.

It felt great.

Congrats! Yeah, even as a kid, I've never run a mile withouth walking parts. It's a definite goal of mine.

Yeah we actually did dance! My husband's brother was riding his bike too and when we got to a certain point, they both rode ahead, and got off their bikes. My husband then proceeded to take his shirt off and they held it out like a ribbon at the end of a race and I ran through it! It was really cute!

that is so wonderful! Congrats!!!

my long term goal is to run a 10 mile road race they have here in the city and it seems like such a big challenge to me right now that seeing other people acheive little goals makes me think that one day I'll be able to do it.

thanks for the inspiration!
