Smile G2009 We Gotta Work! Labor Day Challenge

HAPPY JULY 4TH!

I hope everyone had a great holiday or just a great day for all our non-Americans.

I was getting a tad depressed about this challenge fizzling out so I decided to post the thread for the new challenge for my Eny who will be back with us in October!

This challenge is a Labor Day one (duh! ) and it runs from today to September 7th (7/4 ~ 9/7).

Please post your start/goal weights and I'll keep track of them for you and Eny. I'm going to need everyone's WI by Sunday. Please pm your WIs to me and I'll post the week's results on Monday. This challenge runs for 9 weeks and if you miss 2 weigh-ins, I will stop tracking for you.

To all our regulars, I'm going to try to do my best but for the love of yogurt, if I'm screwing up, kick me in the a$$ and let me know!

everyone!

Hey All,

This last 2 weeks have been **** for me, I'm not going to go into to much detail but stressed omg. So I have taken a step back, and as my beloved TOM arrived yesterday it hasn't helped, I'm not sure how I will do with any challenges as I cant find time sleep let alone exercise. And My husband comes first, we haven't spent alot of time together recently and I miss that.

Anyway I will weigh in and set a goal but probably wont be around alot

well let's see---

SW 185
GW 175

i think that works out to about a pound a week.

any way this weekend was pretty good. spent friday and saturday making firewood for the winter. dinner last night was a problem though. a nice big ribeye steak, corn on the cob and a baked potatoe. it was to good not to finish it all. so i have to hang my head in shame on that one. i know i will have to really make up for it on that one today. no eating actually all i really need to do is pay attention to what and how much i stick in my mouth today and exercise at some point in the day. well i hope that everyone has a good day.

We actually don´t celebrate labor day here (Argentina) but i´m in anyway!!!
It´s aprox 9 weeks and as this is my first week I think 1.5 lb a week is possible... so my goal will be: 13 lbs less...
So, here are my stats:

SW: 162
GW: 149

Ah, thans for making the thread and the challenge!!!!

JasonsLea Thanks for taking over for Eny...we will miss her.

My goall is to reach 125 by my birthday (Aug 9) and then maintain within 5 lbs until labor day. I think this is doable although I did go a bit overboard this past weekend but I hope that I don't do that again. Having said that, I really need to stay OP since I am traveling in a few weeks to CA and that could be another off weekend. I also would like to challenge myself to 4500 minutes of exercise till labor day. (That is roughly 500 a week).

Good luck everybody!!!

Wink

I disappeared with the stresses that moving into my GF's Mom's house brought. I haven't been sleeping well, & my diet has been atrocious. Yesterday her dad brought home doughnuts, & I ate 3!! I had eaten so much I made myself sick, & I haven't done that in a long time. I'm back with a new motivation to stick with my goals & not let anything get me down.

SW: 164.8 lbs
GW: 158 lbs

Hi, all. OK, so I'm IN the Labor Day challenge. I hope. I'm still trying to figure out how it all works. And I'll do my "official" weigh-in tomorrow, and get it posted, but I *think* this is where I'm at:
CW - 153
GW - 144 BY Labor Day.

Hi Everybody,

I am back after a long hiatus. Unfortunately, I returned with a few extra pounds. I had a very busy time in May and June but things are back to a more normal schedule now. With all the traveling and celebrating, I got back into some very bad eating habits, but I am ready to shape up now and leave all that behind me.

I have been reading a book about weight training to try to get back in the groove. It is written by a journalist that is devoted to fitness and nutrition. I am going to really try and concentrate on eating healthy food. I love junk food but it is sooooo baaaad for me. I have so little discipline. It's funny for the nutrition part of the book, he actually downplays cutting calories to lose weight. But he does emphasize eating healthy food. Really, if I did not eat junk food, I would be cutting the calories I consume by a lot-seriously a lot. I guess the point is there is no reason to go hungry ever. Just do not eat empty, no good calorie food! I will let you know how it goes-that is assuming I can really go without junk food. I already ate a cookie with breakfast-geez!

Shari- Thanks for taking over the challenge for Eny. I've been trying to think of a few mini challenges. I think maybe for July we should try the tag challenge again (anyone up for that for a week?), maybe a pamper challenge, and then... I'm not sure for the other two weeks. Does anyone have any ideas?
